Leandro Damião Has Had A Dream

And so dear reader the pitfalls of consuming cheese prior to turning in.

Longtime Tottingham target Leandro Dime Bar told Sao Paulo radio station UOL: “Every footballer dreams of playing at a club such as Real Madrid, but I am only 23 and there is plenty of time to take that step forward.

“Now is not the moment to be thinking of playing in Europe, I just want to continue improving and scoring goals.

“I have a contract with Porto Alegre, I love it here and do not feel the need to move away right now, although it is obvious that the day will come when I will leave Brazil to go and play in Europe.”

No sour grapes I promise you but I always felt this transfer speculation was botched together by the player’s agent and a media desperate for the next headline. At least we’ll know not to waste our precious time reading further guff on this guy in January I suppose.

Chin up lads. We’ve got a nice early saturday kick off in Islington to look forward to. Last time we had that we were 10pts clear of them, 2-0 up and cruising…..

LAST TIME WE WERE AT THE EMPTYCRATES I SERIOUSLY BELIEVED THIS CLUB WAS GOING TO CHALLENGE FOR THE NEXT COUPLE OF YEARS. THE F.A DISTRACTED OUR DUMB MANAGER. THE REST THEY SAY…

Sometimes when I read peoples comments on here, I get the mental picture of cats floating down a river in a sack, scratching each others eyes out.

I’d love it if we could discuss something other than AVB and how clueless/brilliant he is.

I think we’re playing ‘a bit sh*t’ because we don’t have very good players and this Damiao debacle puts it all into perspective for me.
We either can’t afford these players or we don’t have enough faith in our scouts or both. Either way if you look at our latest signings they’re not exactly very inspiring. Dembele is the only big player we bought, he had a buy out clause within our budget, textbook. We took a punt on Vert and sig and Vert turned out to be a great signing. Sig not so much. Dempsey… nah, he’s a good squad player but you’d be stupid to pin your hopes of CL qualification on that type of player.

Player acquisitions must improve somehow. You can’t keep changing the coach and expecting him to turn water into wine.

If we had a real goal machine or a talisman I could look at the coach and ask why he isn’t doing more with what he’s got. That simply isn’t the case.

    Ref our current position.

As in tennis the first 30 points are not as important as the last one. You win that one my friend and you can happily lose the first 30.

This is a process that takes time. If AVB took over like for like some of your arguements might have substance. He didnt so they dont.
Those that are constantly on here fighting with the guy who gives you the platform to moan then get a grip, this will take time and yes your opinion is as valid as HH’s but post an opinion not a stake in the ground for a fight.

    • Harry Hotspur says:

      Excellently put.

Erm. It’s the internet. You know how that works, right? You are suggesting that we should all be grateful to a bloke who obviously enjoys getting on his cyber soap box and having his moment in the internet limelight and we should placidly agree with him even when he’s talking a load of old bollocks, simply because he has a comments section?

      • borris says:

Fuckin hell mate. You love a ruck. Are you a lawyer?.. Its getting boring.

      • LosLorenzo says:

“we should placidly agree with him ”

Patently untrue in my experience. If it were, you would have been banned ages ago, no? Me too, for that matter.

      • LosLorenzo says:

Wow, I should have read that more closely.

“we should placidly agree with him […] simply because he has a comments section?”

Uhmmm… Doesn’t the very existence of the comments section indicate a willingness to allow others to voice their opinions?

You been drinking today LLL? Even you don’t usually suffer from thinkthing this fuzzy…

        • LLL says:

          ???

I’m not having a go at HH you turkey, I’m taking issue with Ade above who seems to be saying that we should all be grateful to HH for having the grace to add a comments section under his daily splurge and we should treat it with great respect accordingly. If you know how to use this fantastic and most generous comments section and follow threads, I’m sure this would be clear to you?

        • Alspur says:

I don’t think Ade’s referring to you, LLL – I think he’s referring to those who take the opportunity to pour abuse on the author.

Debate, yes; abuse, no – was my take on it, anyway…

        • LosLorenzo says:

Missed a beat. Thought you were implying HH demanded consensus, ‘or else’. That’s not what you were saying at all.

        • BrizzleSpur says:

Debate, yes; abuse, no – was my take on it, anyway…

          Correctamondo.

  • chiversmetimbers says:

when his name first came up we had a look at the videos and I think I described him as “a bit like Pav, but runs around a bit more” he didn’t exactly look special though. Yeah he had a good Olympics but I bet Emile Heskey would look pretty good in that team too…I doubt he will ever play for Real Madrid

  • jolsgonemental says:

Does anyone care about this fella?

He is not as good as Ade or Defoe.

He has got as much chance of playing for Real as Taarabt has.

    AvB out.
