Arry’s New Fullback Will Cost £5M And That Cad Comolli…

A pretty surreal dawn greets those in the Kingdom of Yid then.

Graham Roberts is the new manager of Pakistan. What a journey. From Clyde to Karachi. At 51 and after many years in the wilderness it’s a hopefully a nice pension. The last time I saw him it was signing autographs off a trellis table on the High Road with born again cabbie, Mickey Hazard.

When I got to The Lane, a parade of Legends were being applauded by over 30,000 presumably after they had enjoyed a three course meal and some half decent VIP attention.

The Great Dame Comolli has turned up like some bad French centime. Quite how he has the front to pop up now essentially taking credit for where the club is now, some time after he was fired is beyond me. He was instrumental in spending a hell of a lot of money and it’s a pretty dishonest exercise.

AC Milan’s Daniele Bonera would cost iro £5M. He’s 29 and would be a welcome addition to the sick, the weak and the weary we currently stock.

I think pinning Blistering Bob Keane on Arry is equally underhanded!

Stop slagging off Comolli, he signed a lot of great talents, that not all of them turned out to be great is not ONLY his fault. Look at Boateng now, playing in Milan. And why the hell we don’t play GIO is beyond me. Bale is also a Comolli signing. Ekotto,Modric and Gomes is also VERY good sigings and we all love Super Pav! And who know’s, Parret, Bostock and Rose might become topp class players.. I guess we owe Mr Damian a great thank you if you ask me.

You make some good points and as per Essexian rightly points out, infrastructure played a big part.

      Gio’s problem is booze.

And he was always beautifully turned out, sharp suit, snazzy but serious spectacles, oh yes, the Dame is a gastronomic connisseur, and an excellent palate too I believe, well he is French  :-p

the probable reason we don’t play Gio, is that we’ve got players already performing in his favoured areas. It’s not rocket science, although getting a team to perform no matter how good the ingredients, does involve a bit of alchemy.

Lest we forget, Luther Blissett also played for Milan… A red & black stripy top doesn’t maketh the man. KPB is a show pony of the highest order and unless you’re prepared to build the team around him and throw palm fronds under his feet as he walks, you’ll get nothing other than wasted possession and tattooed posturing.

That was my point… With all the assets at his disposal I would be amazed if he didn’t find a Bale or a Berbatoss… I was just constantly depressed at how many overpriced upstarts he inflicted on us in the process.

      Have to agree with you.
Old DC signed some great players for spurs.
Feel the evening standard headline made him sound like an smug git, when in actual fact he wasn’t trying to steal Arry’s thunder.
Lets agree, he signed one or two crap players, but over all – did a great job at Spurs and Levy shot him to save his skin!

  • TMWNA says:

    Comolli can do one.

Ekotto – average; Pav – average; Modric – hardly ‘unearthed’, likewise Bale and Gomes.

  • Trembly says:

It’s the Dames self promotion that irks. He didn;t even put a joke in there like Graham Roberts with hsi Pakistan job (team shirts sponsored by immodium I think he said).

Also, that nonsense that Anderton is guffing about in his new book. Fact is he got far too comfy at Spurs and Levy was right to off him – although he might’ve done so in a different manner.

  • TMWNA says:

Is sick note still banging on about that?
