Bale Does It 21 Times In 2 Minutes

This whole Bale love in has been bordering on that Python sketch. He innocently leaves some Kenesio tape on the changing room floor one minute and 30 seconds later someone’s clutching ‘a sign’.

Bale’s extraordinary arrival could be just what the doctor ordered.

I don’t mean in respect of what he achieves on the pitch and all that mallarky, rather the way Spurs are perceived. If this lad can hold his resolve, if Levy & Co can ensure they do their bit and not act with so much dispassion that it allows the boys’ head to be turned, then this could be a pivotal moment for the Tottinghams.

For some time it has grated me that we have essentially been a selling club. Yeah, yeah I know there is a list of players we have managed to hang on to, but please – none of them have quite caught the eye of others like those who did abandon us.

No matter how high the regard we hold Azza Blud or anyone else for that matter, they have not had a queue around the block of suitors waving carrier bags of used notes.

But Bale is doing a bloody good impression of, ‘the real deal’ so this is our chance to send out a message that the days of  Carrick, Berbatoss and PSB are behind us.

The prattle will commence in earnest this afternoon. Honest. And on a not entirely unrelated housekeeping matter can I apologize to anyone who emailed me on my new address or indeed the old one of late. Both appear to be made of cheese. Normal service will be resumed and I wasn’t being rude.

Oh yes, decent response to the comp yesterday – looks like most of you got it wrong. Apart from Toddspurs.

Clip stolen from the excellent 101 Great Goals.

Yea I think the club should pull out all the stops to make sure Gareth and our other stars Luka, VDV are happy and content at our club and that they understand where the club is heading. I think the character of the players is also a good reflection on Spurs as a club and how its run and Arry himself in some respects. For example Modders coming out saying “yea I’d love to go to Barcelona, But only as a Tottenham player in the next round of the CL” (or something along those lines), Or Bale headin home to his mums for a break. You can keep your Rooneys and Adebayeors (?) we’ve good a decent team here with a lot of level heads that seem to get on well together, like a team if you will. And with a few quality additions we could be on the cusp of greatness.
Prove me right you berks! COYS!

Against the beastly Trotters, I think HR will go for what he knows and stick with Crouch up front. I think he’ll also stick with Lennon… He finally got the bit between the teeth the other night and had a bit of that old sparkle – Harry might hope that he can carry it on and build a bit of form.

I have the sneaking feeling might pull one on us though and play Krankie on the left and give Baler a day-trip to see mum. There’s so much media attention on him at the moment and Bolton will be looking to break him into bits – I’m sure he could do with the rest as well.

      I’d go for

      Gomes
      Begbie, Basser, Beast (Kaboul), A&E
      Lennon, T’Hudd, Jen*s, Krankie
      Moddle,
      Crouch.

Sat up havin a few beers last was desperate for a bit of football on the box was actually looking for CL highlights or somethin as my Sky+ box didn’t record the game due to a drunken subscriber malfunction (I watched it but forgot to record it).
Anyway stuck on premier league years on SS, 08/09 season and it was painful to watch, were we really that bad? Yes we were, it was embarrassing. Then it got to the part when HR took over and things started looking up and I actually enjoyed the second half of the programme, plus that goal by Bentley.
We’ve come a long way baby! Keep it up fellas.

I love bale, then I watched that video and now he slightly irritates me… But I agree that Bale VDV and Modric need to be kept hold of come the summer, and Levy will have the chance to prove to us and the world that we are no longer a selling club. We are on the cusp of some good times at Spurs, we can’t be selling our best players anymore

I love it that he’s untainted by agent-speak and all of the phoney swagger. No ghetto flat brim hat, bad tatts and piercings yet. I hope they send his pay directly to his parents and they make him live on an allowance.
