Bale Does It 21 Times In 2 Minutes

This whole Bale love in has been bordering on that Python sketch. He innocently leaves some Kenesio tape on the changing room floor one minute and 30 seconds later someone’s clutching ‘a sign’.

Bale’s extraordinary arrival could be just what the doctor ordered.

I don’t mean in respect of what he achieves on the pitch and all that mallarky, rather the way Spurs are perceived. If this lad can hold his resolve, if Levy & Co can ensure they do their bit and not act with so much dispassion that it allows the boys’ head to be turned, then this could be a pivotal moment for the Tottinghams.

For some time it has grated me that we have essentially been a selling club. Yeah, yeah I know there is a list of players we have managed to hang on to, but please – none of them have quite caught the eye of others like those who did abandon us.

No matter how high the regard we hold Azza Blud or anyone else for that matter, they have not had a queue around the block of suitors waving carrier bags of used notes.

But Bale is doing a bloody good impression of, ‘the real deal’ so this is our chance to send out a message that the days of  Carrick, Berbatoss and PSB are behind us.

The prattle will commence in earnest this afternoon. Honest. And on a not entirely unrelated housekeeping matter can I apologize to anyone who emailed me on my new address or indeed the old one of late. Both appear to be made of cheese. Normal service will be resumed and I wasn’t being rude.

Oh yes, decent response to the comp yesterday – looks like most of you got it wrong. Apart from Toddspurs.

‘Um, I think..’ is the new ‘Yeah, definitely’ or ‘You know’, but if he keeps playing like he is, who gives a Bale’s.. Um, I mean monkey’s?

Lets get this right. Spurs is not selling club. Berbatov is poison with his atitude and have to be disposed off.

Keane at 20mil is too good to reject and Levy was banking on us getting Arshavin to make up (failed attempt).

Carrick at 16mil was good money AND Levy (probably a rare case of bad judgement) thinks that Carrick is not that important and sold him; Against the wishes of Jol. At that time Levy was already beginning to think that Jol was not the man to move Spurs forward.

I hope we show some balls in jan and go all out to sign mr superstriker – that will be the best combined signal of intent and reward to the likes of Bale and Modric for their loyalty. When you saw how dangerous Etoo and Millito looked every time they touched the ball there was no comparison with Mr C or Pav.

There are a couple of other really good things that have happened this week – Redknapp’s postmatch comments after manure have probably reduced the likelihood of him becoming England manager and Citeh’s last couple of performances plus off field goings on have cast a shadow over Mancini’s prospects there.

I really hope we can take advantage of City’s malaise – we must win to stay close to 4th place and not slip back into mid table. I also think we must give some fringe players a run out (Krankie etc) to keep a happy squad.

9 points and we’ll be rockin’ and a rollin’ again. 5 or less from the next 3 will not be good at all.

I was putting on a brave face after last Saturday evening, but was seriously a Doubting Thomas really. After Tuesday night, I’m feeling all Clever Dick again (less of the Dick comments please).

Confidence feeling superhigh – let’s go!

i just can’t believe that a pikey chairman and some sky c*ck are talikng about selling bale, aren’t there rules about this sort of thing or at least good manners,

bale is worth over £50m levy ain’t selling to an english rival again so it doesn’t leave much but what with platini’s stupid new rules which closes the door to any club trying to gatecrash footballs elite who could afford bale,is levy supposed to sell his best players for £15m because platini says its good for the elite clubs, its going to be funny as a so called elite club could be buying an £80m player for 4 seasons and no one else as its their transfer budget :finn:

the only worry about bolton away is whether the lads have been home yet since they hit the nightclubs tuesday night :-p
