Good morning, fight fans.
Clatterberk referees so badly he’s been accused of being bent.
Charges by fans of corruption aimed at officials are common enough fare, but in the case of young Marky Mark they have been fueled by the disclosure that the man with the sensational syrup has on several occasions been up to his knickers in debt.
Both Spurs and Manchester United fans will be unsurprised to discover Mark Clattenburg’s life off the pitch is as much of a fiasco as it is on it.
He was appointed as a director of MC Electrical Retail NE Ltd on June 23 2008.
Four days later the firm was wound up under the Insolvency Act at Newcastle County Court over an alleged unpaid debt of £59,000 to fellow electrician John Hepworth.
It then came to light that another business, MC Electrical Services NE Ltd (spot the difference?) was wound up on January 23 2008 and Companies House records show the company folded owing £57,454 to trade creditors, HSBC Bank and HM Revenue and Customs. Mmmmn.
The FA suspended Clatternburg over this for failing to disclose his debts.
In November of the same year, Clattenburg’s ex-girlfriend Susan Clegg was arrested on suspicion of trashing his Porsche Boxster, worth £40,000, which was vandalized outside his flat in Gosforth, Newcastle.
This is the same clown that made a complete fist of a Merseyside derby in 2007 which drew over 3,000 signatures on a petition to have him axed from refereeing.
In the match, Liverpool beat Everton 2-1 despite Clattenburg sending off two Everton players, giving Liverpool a disputed penalty and turned down two penalty appeals from Everton. After the game Mark received death threats.
Hotspur’s verdict?
Jack it in son. You’re out of your depth.
I thought it was iffy from the moment the touch line conference was held by the trio including Rio.
Sorry, Harry, I don’t like this, and I don’t see why Klatterbrain’s private life has to be connected to his footballing gafffes ……… I actually enjoy the fact that he DOES keep matches going, and that he plays advantage well and is less-likely to be fooled by divers (eg Nani). But, equally, he tends to let a certain amount go in games and then pick on ONE player to make an example of: in our case Kaboul. This was wrong because it was NOT a foul (not behind, contact first), and led to a goal. It is also symptomatic of a mild(ish) home bias, plus a desire to be seen to be ‘brave’ and controversial …… ‘I will not be scared to make BIG decisions’ frame of mind. He should also read the law about advantage, which he did not adhere to, so that WE lost out to Nani’s handball. BUT you are implying he could be bent, and you don’t know that.
Tommy , I admire your ability to see the good in people, but “Mild(ish) home bias”?
Booked both our centre backs early for nothing first fouls.
Didn’t book Nani 1st half for a blatant dive.
Didn’t book Park for a cynical foul on Lennon.
Didn’t book Nani for a second dive and deliberate handball.
Didn’t book Scholes for man-handling an official.
Booked Modric, our captain, for questioning his decision of over-ruling the linesman, who had conceded to Gomes that Nani had indeed handled the ball.
Waved away Tottenham protests.
Let Rio Ferdinand contribute to his discussion with the linesman.
If he’s corrupt, why didn’t he give the penalty?
Enough of this nonsense, let’s have some prattle.
HH, his personal life/business dealings although intresting in a car crash sor tof way should be removed from the issue of his refereeing ability or lack thereof.
Agree with Ron and Joe, here though. Everton display seems interesting – amazing even. Death threats? Why isn’t an effigy hanging up somewhere yet?
As for the word c o c k on his forehead, might I suggest instead ‘bought’ or perhaps even ‘sold’. Conspiracy theories vs idiocy? I’d like to think that he was tempted by greed and the 2-0 scoreline was all due to mafia or betting syndicates, but really as per the crux of your message, he’s just not good enough and should be turfed out of the game. Mark…feck you and goodnight.
he’s as as bent as bender in a bent bending factory for bentleys
