Spurs & Villa To Swap Strikers In January

Be still my beating heart. Oh I see, it has.

The sheer overdose of inertia pulsating through my veins has caused me to flatline. As longstanding readers will know of course, a goldfish with cerebal palsy could write this blog, so you’ll be unsurprized I can continue to type.

PSB in exchange for Aston Villa’s very own John ‘Star Man’ Carew*.

As theorectical deals for the next window go this would have to a considered a ‘goer’. Pointless Shouty Bloke has been linked with Aston Villa since he was a foetus. Add to this he hasn’t run away to join anyone’s circus for months now and you’re looking at a winning combo of transfer rumour.

St Gerard of Houllier has blazed a trail of draws and losses only interupted by the odd victory since he returned to the Premership. He inherited a squad that supposedly cost the same as ours yet achieved even less. It was only a matter of time before the splat of bathwater rapidly followed by the thud, wah, whaaahh of a baby landing on the Villa Park cobbles was heard.

John Carew. A thin brochure. Described a ‘bigger than me or you’ and and having a turning arc similar to that of a very, very large ship such as the Queen Elizabeth 2.

When it came to being linked with strikers – not so long ago it was the Horse Whisperer and the Wardrobe On Wheels. Then no one at all. Now it’s Carew. I smell decline. The new stadium is an elaborate hoax and Levy has secretly a hatched a plan to merge with the Pikeys and all play happily ever after under the name Athletico Stratford.

Women, children and Hotspur first. Let me through, I’m a first aider.

I can see the merits of this swap for a short term fix, but it doesn’t really go beyond plugging a hole in the hull of the QE2 with vinegar and brown paper.

Carew is not the world class striker that we need, but it’s highly unlikely that we could get one in the upcoming transfer window as the majority would be cup-tied for the Champions League.

Carew has Champions League experience and is not cup tied in the competition should / when we qualify for the knockout stages. He is likely to be on less money that Keane and can play the lone striker role. He scores roughly 1 in 3, including european games. Seems to be a bit injury prone though, which means he will (un)fit in well as well as being older than Keane (albeit only a year).

Keane scores roughly every 2.5 games, although that is more like 1 in 4 since he played for some of his boyhood clubs. He appears to no longer have the influence at the club that he once had.

    Oh, PSB’s Mrs is better.

kevin davies would be a better bet on saturday’s showing

It’s getting depressing even thinking about ‘arry & levy’s transfer targets.

My epitaph – I told you we were skint

I wish I never read your posts about the financial statements and the like.

Would much rather have my head in the sand and complain that we’re not winning every game and signing people on wages and transfer fees that would bankrupt the club in 6 months.

Seriously though. Kevin Davies would’ve been a steal, as ould have Diego Milito (offered to us for £9m if I remember?)

You can’t complain about VdV although the fact that we’re seemingly putting all our eggs into the basket of capturing a Real Madrid cast off is a bit risqué.

Carew? Do the bulbs on the floodlights need changing again? cr’Ouchies getting well lazy.

Trembles, we’re not in bad shape but the world is not a sane place at the moment, banking crisis Mk2 is on the horizon and the yanks seem very keen to tip more of their financial garbage on the rest of the world again.

The financials for the new ground are as of yet unknown and according to rumours going round, the proposed costs are escalating to a point which makes stratford stadium look an appealing option. I read the report from TFL and they wanted Spurs to underwrite any infrastructure improvements deemed necessary by them FFS.

How knocking down a 500 million useless stadium and building a proper football one will work I don’t know? Let wet spam have it and watch it turn into a dump inside 20 years

Brown/Green field site at picketts lock looks a better bet?

Oh and milito – great player we missed there by the way

We had a talking arse device at Radley. We called it ‘Fag.’

It seems Hooolier and Carew have kissed and made up so this is probably a load of old cocknob

…and the stadium thing is surely a wind-up HH?

God we need a win tonight. I wish Daws and Defoe were available

    Team comments;

    Pav has to start
    3MP has to bench it
Modders or Kranks in the hole behind Pav
Baler a must (fancy him switching to right side on ocassions and rifling off a few bombs)
Basser and The Bull @ CH
Sandro (he needs to make amends) & Thudd central
    Kranks or Modders right side
