Both Goals …And Thank God For Levy

Image for Both Goals …And Thank God For Levy

This was another game that the Tottinghams of old would have found cause to botch in some way. Roughty toughty northerners showing up on your doorstep looking for bother, a chill in the air. No thank you missus.

Cheatski’s demise at the hands of The French will have undoubtedly cause ripples of delusional grandeur at the Emptycrates, but Arsenal have yet to beat anyone good. For the first time in a long time we sit fourth and actually look worth every penny.

Arry was interesting on Talksport after the game. Essentially he confirmed the interest in Scott Parker and the fact that the Porn Barons don’t want to sell him. But better still was the comment that Levy & Co are keen, yes keen to get in a player that will ‘make the difference’ and underline the achievements so far.

This is bloody good news. The Champions League foray has been a runaway success with the filthy loot having to be shoveled into the vaults as the value of ‘the brand’ soars. I know I’m in the minority in embracing the Stratford move, but the contrast between the silky, free scoring Lilywhites and the odious Primark Massive is stark.

In this day and age when you have chicken magnates sacking football managers it’s a huge, huge asset to a club when the Director has the intelligence and foresight that Levy has.

Tottingham Hotspur. The 10 men specialists. Here’s both goals and I’m still looking for the headbutt.

BIOYC!

So the club is keen to spend eh. Don’t know why we spent all summer sitting on our wallets then.

So I hope it is true but I have heard that one before and will wait to see the striker upgrades before cracking open the bubbly.

“Don’t know why we spent all summer sitting on our wallets then.”

A combination of the right player not available at a non-ridicuolous price and waiting to see if we got past Young Boys.

Appalling referee. He had no control and the fact that Barton never received a booking demonstrates he didn’t know what he was doing. Premier league referee – you’re having a laugh.

    Modders was fantastic.

If the one we had against Villa was supposed to be one of the best, then the one today by all accounts must’ve just been quite good

  • SpoletoSpur says:

Good to hear that Levy still wants us to improve. Aside from his 2 attempts at goal Pav was nowhere to be seen today. That is the main area where we need to improve (obviously).

Bassong and Jenas deserve some praise for their performances from the bench. Dawson handled Carroll better than any other defender I’ve seen.

Oh yes. And a midfield of my mate Joey B and Alan Smith. Couldn’t wish it on two finer fellows.

I really hope (scouts honor) that the applause Barton gave us Spurs fans at the end wasn’t sarcastic. I applauded him – he’s a ‘orrible git!

  • Trembly says:

Does that mean that it’s Les and Bassong against Foolem? Seb deserves his start I think and Gallas on the bench will be fine. Perhaps Kaboul had something grand lined up for New Years eve?

Twas at work today so missed the whole shebang. Glad for the goal highlights although they’re a bit scarcer than usual. Anyone know if they stream the repeats?

3 for 3 on Saturday perlease.

Oh. And thanks Levy for pushing, and Arry for looking for someone that would make the difference. Lets leave the stupid spending to the Sheik’nsacks and continue to buy top drawer quality for ridiculously cheap amounts.

    • Harry Hotspur says:

The comment was made to Arry in that interview that VdV was bought for ‘pennies’ or similar. Redschnapps didn’t respond directly to that…

    • jfdit says:

VDV is the deal of the season, madrid have a stockpile of world class players – Kaka won’t be going to cheatski if the lotty gets the boot and that will happen shortly.

Did you see them last night? Our bench was better than most of their 1st team – they’re on the way out, no pace & getting too old – also very dull to watch
