Highlights?

My dears, what did they do to you?

We was one nil up on the radio and then they said we was one a piece. So we won the first half, but not the one that mattered. Joy. But indigestible joy.  Has anyone got the answer? Do they still do Blue Peter appeals? We is badge-less. Adrift maybe.

Here’s some extensiveness.

Here’s Mr Bassong’s belter!

Here’s our Arry, do not adjust your monitor.

Here’s Alex McLeish, do not adjust your monitor. Scottish hair frequently looks like that.

It must be pretty soul destroying for the likes of Bale and Lennon and Modric seeing chances go begging after working so hard to set them up. We need to be converting more if not we will lose the Bales and Modders and the Lennons and DVDs as they become frustrated at the wanton misuse of their efforts to create.

Of our strike force, only Pav is a sniffer: Defoe has always been a bit ordinary from crosses, Crouch is hammering the point home each week that he can’t deal with them and PSB has obviously really done the dirty somewhere not to even get on the bench. Leaving the Fabianos aside, is there anyone out there (present company excepted)who is good at just tapping the bastard thing in from 6 yards? That’d do me. We should be winning these games 3 or 4 or 5 nil!

Finn, in an attempt to answer your quite valid question I went into the great portal of knowledge that is the “Castrol Index”, filtered to see the top forwards in the game and came up with the following…

Jermain Defoe is the 11th best forward in the world! :pinch:

Other than that I didn’t find much except this fellow….. Lucas Barrios of Dortmund and Paraguay, has scored 27 goals in 47 games in the Bundesliga, he MUST be better than what we’ve got!

errr the castrol index says Marcus Hahnemann is the world’s best keeper too

Yes I understand that the Castrol Index is shit (see comment about Defoe), but the point is that this Barrios fellow looks like he is full of goals – didn’t we sign Berbatov from that league?

I know it can be tough to buy players but this is easy.

When you have a strike force like we did of Berbatov/Keane/Defoe/Bent that is tough to improve.

But Crouch/Defoe/Pav/Keane/GDS is easy to improve.

You don’t need Torres to improve that.

Even if all you do is sell Keane and GDS and buy a replacement you have improved that strike force by a mile.

Our strikers are not scoring have no ability in the air we have no natural partnerships and it has been like that for a year now.

Defoe has 4 league goals since January and he is our best striker ffs.

    Time to change.
