Everton Away – The Prattle

The Tottinghams travel to face an Everton side with form on a par with Aston Villa.

Tim Cahill has just revealed to a number of Toffee fans that Australia is in fact in Asia and will not be participating in tonight’s fixture. His absence is another nail in David Moye’s coffin and if he’s able to get any lose change together for this window then never was there time when Everton needed to ship in a striker.

The win against the biggest club in Fulham was good. A win here would be even more betterer. We’d stay fourth unless we won by a margin of 14 goals. Oh yes, I’m a born again stat monster.

Predictions? A slow first half followed by a goalfest. Paddy Power do this ‘first to score for their team bet’.  I like as it offers better odds than ‘first goalscorer’ and in a game like this where Everton could have a limited pop, I favour it. It takes Pav out to 7/2 and VdV out to 10/3. 3Mp fans can get 17/1 on him scoring twice. If you want to bet £10, you get £20 free HERE.

I dont understand people who say we cant grind a result out when half of our points this season have come from losing positions.
Everyone was saying how we beat fulham was grinding a result out, now all of a sudden we have no experience?

I will not accept this attitude and i can assure you I am a big critic when we dont play well.
We didnt play well yesterday, but Everton made us not play well too.
    We’ll learn..

Agreed. The fact that we have one so many games this season by a one goal margin, many of which after coming from behind suggests we can grind out results.

Last night was a poor performance but Everton have beaten the likes of Man United, Chelski, Shiteh there in the last season or so and always tend to raise their game against the better teams.

Sure a better striker would help our cause and hopefully we’ll get one soon but the aim this season was top 4 again and we’re still in the mix to to that.

The fact that we have ‘one’ so many games this season by a one goal margin screams out that we’re not killing teams off.

          so have Manure

Lets be realistic here; Would we have preferred to have drawn the last two games to satisfy oursleves that we can dig in?

We have moved up a place over the Xmas period and Chelscum are in tatters. We need that injection of experience and Beckham fits the bill. Another striker would see us complete the squad

          COYS

After tonights results, if we are serious challengers, we need to make sure we get the right players in during the window. ‘Arry says 2 players needed & Levy wants him to spend money.

My two players: Torres & Essien please, about £60m for the pair? Whether they are realistic targets, I don’t know, but unless we try, we won’t know. Liverpool are in crisis and a £30m bid for Torres may be tempting for them as they have no money to buy. Essien is the best CM in the PL. The blue scum have recently enquired about Modders, why cant we enquire about Essien.

Finance that with the sales of Keane, Pav or Crouch, Bentley, Gio, O’Hara, Jenas, Naughton & Rose. That must be around £40m & Levy open the chequebook for the rest.

Oh, and Shay Given too please.

agree on all of that FF but Essien is a pipe dream but a nice one none the less!

I personally think we will spend upwards of 15m this window whereas about a month ago I’d have bet we’d spend nothing like that. Levy really is keen to get us CL footie again and whether thats because he wants to sell us on or becuase he has a taste for it I couldnt care less….if its for the greater good then bring it on (you cnuts)
