‘He Wants To Come’ Says Arry

What can I tell you?

Arry made another interesting post match comment yesterday. Saying, ‘he wants to come’ in relation to the Boy Beckham. Of course he followed it up with a hasty, ‘but we haven’t err …discussed it with anyone. There’s been no contact.’ Bless ‘im.

You can see Sir David pictured in a Spurs kit as a child HERE if that’s your thing.

Word on the street is that Jonathan Woodgate is being loaned out in order to find his feet. Whoever hid his feet in the first place might want to take a long hard look at themselves. The first choice was Leeds, but yesterday John Cross of the Mirror on Talksport said he understood it would be Cardiff.

Here are MOTD highlights from yesterday. TTFN!

One more time into the fray.

I’m with you Astromesmo. How many years has Lennon been playing? Talented as he is, in all this time he still has not learned how to cross a ball onto the head or feet of a team mate consistently ( i.e. at least 40% of the time). Most days he is a better than fair passer, often bloody marvellous in that department, but the same is not true with his crossing, for all the coaching he has (one presumes) received. If Beckham succeeded in just this one aspect, by example and by advice, what a difference he would make to Lennon’s performance and career.

And what’s all this about a circus? Two friends I asked, one a college soccer[hic] coach in California, close by Los Angeles, said the opposite; what was remarkable about Beck’s day to day existence was the absence of circus like goings on (the alleged hooker business notwithstanding) and the respect he has earned for seeing to it that his kids/family are protected, etc. without lumbering hulks calling themselves security personnel making themselves conspicuous, as so often occurs in Hollywood. May be things are different in the UK around his home base. But, by the way, where was this circus while he was working/traveling with the WC 2018 team?

I respect ‘Arry’s football sense (and Danny’s business acumen). Perhaps it takes an old ‘un like me to appreciate a not-quite-so-young’un like ‘Arry. Go for it, ‘Arry. Get the deal done, Danny, and while you’re about it, bring in a solid, all-round striker.

I’m an old cynic but I think Harry is spinning better than Graeme Swan at the minute.

    1 – We’re realistic title challengers
2 – Beckham wants to join us

Both of these statements raise the club, and importantly, Harry’s profile.

If I were looking to justify a new job in the summer I would be aiming to make my current efforts look impressive, irespective of their final state.

While there’s a good amount of potential truth in these statements, most managers would play down such talk for fear of increasing the pressure or being found out in the long run… except I don’t think there is a long run for harry. More a 400 m race to Soho Sq.

Shoot me down while I retire to my curmugeonly pose in my worn chair and tap me fag ash out behind the sofa.
