Good afternoon.

I trust everyone’s vocal chords, hangovers and rigor mortis like smiles are all gradually easing and you’re letting it finally sink in that we’re pretty damn good at playing football. Again. At long last.

This is made me chuckle and so being the wonderful human being I am I thought I’d share it with you bar stewards. It’s off the Italian telly from last night. I haven’t a clue what they’re actually saying but by the same token I know exactly what they mean.

Enjoy.

What a week, probably the best I can remember as a Spur. It is right up there with our very best performances during my 43 years as a fan.Thank you Harry, DL, the coaching staff and this squad for giving us back our SPURS. The team of the early eighties were exrememely handy but the way we made Meeeeelan look like a very average side, especially in the first half was outstanding. Still need to focus for the home leg but hope Bale will be fit, which will keep their right back very quiet. I thought he looked like one of Meeeelans better players (and he was the outlet ball for them all night).

Brilliant that we have a break until next Tuesday so that we can hopefully get a few back fit. I wonder how long Kaboooom is still out for because we need right back cover for the next 2 games at Blackpool then Wolves. Hutton offers pace but his basic positioning and defensive reading of the game is not reliable enough imo. Also Len looks so much more threatening and confident with Charlie at RB. Hope Charlie is not as bad as he looked.

As for Gattuso…. a has been, who was not exactly classy when he was, and Flamini….well
he should have got a straight red, no hesitation. Having said that I heard Tim sherwood on Talksport suggesting that by keeping Flamini on it did us a favour in that if they had gone down to 10 they would have shut up shop and settled for a nil/nil draw.

Anyway it is my belief that if we can keep this group of players together and add a forward, left back cover and get Walker back from Villa, next season could be the EPL title. We are very , very close….. COYS!!!!!! and Barca!!!!

    What news of Charlie ?

  • Steveo1987 says:

Gattuso’s other agent, Claudio Pasqualin, told television interviewers that Jordan had provoked the player by calling him “a f***ing Italian b**tard.”

    • Harry Hotspur says:

I knew I liked Joe. I always knew.

His other great stock phrase of course is ‘Any time ye fucking like.’ Which personally I feel is both timeless and requires no translation.

Joe Jordan played a blinder down the left in place of baler they couldnt handle him.
