…merchandise.

Football memorabilia is best employed when sold to raise money for good causes.

Many of us wouldn’t mind the odd signed bit of gear but there’s always that voice in our subconscious that wonders why a middle man should be making money out of a bloke (who just happens to be a superstar) running a marker pen over a nylon shirt or whatever.

This is much ‘nicer’ and the money goes to a good cause.

The Boy Bale has donated a heap of goodies to an auction in aid of his old Cardiff Primary School where he first learned to hone his footballing skills, Eglwys Newydd.

Gareth and his Spurs team-mates have donated signed shirts, boots and goalkeeping gloves so they can be auctioned to help fund the Barrister’s fees to prepare a legal case to fight the school closure.

SEE THE ITEMS AND BID HERE!

The ‘closed’ auction will run for two weeks with the person bidding the highest amount for each individual lot being successful and becoming the proud owner of one of these highly sought after items, some of which were worn by the Spurs players in their recent Champions League success against AC Milan.

The auction will close at midnight on Saturday the 9th of April.

If you would like to make a donation direct to the campaign as well as making a bid on one of the items, go to www.savewhitchurch.com/fund-raising/

Why would you want to email that berk anyway?

Surely anthrax only works if sent in the conventional manner.

In one of the expensive papers this morning: “Daniel Levy has warned that players will need to be sold….’we shall look to streamline where appropriate'”.
Hold on to your headline, HH. It may be needed this summer. Hang on, it’s April 1st. Are April Fools wind-ups getting this subtle?
    We should be told.

Great headline and great stuff on the auction to be bid on. I hear Gareth’s delighted at the money raised so far but we need more – come on, dig deep and bid for some great club memorabilia.
