The Boy Bale Back For Los Blancos

Our old friends at Spurs Odyssey are alive and kicking. Which is nice.

A relatively new ‘member’ offered this…

‘Just got an update about Gareth’s injury. It’s a grade 1 tear and he could of played today but wouldn’t then of been fit for the Real Madrid game so good news for us. The new contract extension has a buy out clause added to it so that Gareth has more control over if and when he goes.

Having said that, however, he is absolutely loving it at Tottenham and has no plans to go anywhere at the moment but it does all depend on us staying in the CL.He loves the lads and the life he has and wants to stay at Spurs so lets just make sure we qualify again.’

This was immediately greeted of course with ‘and just how do you know all this?’ But I’d be less inclined to rubbish this for no other reason than it’s refreshingly coherent, balanced and lacking in sensationalism. You know – unlike those idiots that either speak in riddles or come out brash stuff like Benzema Loan Deal Done!

So, he may well be available for the next installment of our Champions League adventure where we face The Honkeys in downtown Spain. Which is nice.

Encouraging stuff – even if we shouldn’t always take the word of the “in the knows”!
Grammatically – it could have been written more accurately ; “…he could of played today but wouldn’t then of been fit…” should of course read “…he could HAVE played today but wouldn’t then HAVE been fit…” ‘Have’ is of course part of a verb conjugation, in this instance indicating a future conditional action. ‘Of’ is a preposition.
Am I on the wrong web-site?

Apologies for being a miserable BASTARD, I still remember Robbie Keane’s quote “I wanna end my career here”. Look what happend 3 weeks later.
I now just enjoy the players we have today and if they want to piss-off elsewhere at the end of the season, then so be it. Obviously it would be great if one or two of our stars stay for the long term and become legends.

Nothing wrong with being a miserable bastard Darren, some of us on here regard it as a way of life.

Please, don’t take me seriously. If you must know what I dance like, it’s not to different from the lead singer of this band http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QVc29bYIvCM

Hi Darren if you dance like that you better go see a doctor quickly, your co ordination is out of control and your nerve endings are probably shot. not a good idea in your condition to watch the madrid game live ,better wait for the result. :dizzy2:

Dont you just love these International breaks ?
First Bale, now Lennon sent back injured, neither having played 1 minute of a competitive match.
Seems Lennon is now about fifth choice RW behind Walcott, Young, Milner and Downing. If I was him, I would wonder why I bother as far as Capello is concerned.
Call me naive but I think the only player who may jump ship next season if we don’t make CL is VDV.
If we fail to make CL, we should find that elusive goal scorer and go all out to win the Premier league. We could have gone close this season with a top finisher.
