Mornin’.

Positives have to include Crouch’s game efforts to cleanse himself of the Real Madyid fiasco, Modders scored, Dances With Scones was back to an extent and it emerged that Super Romancrazypavinchenko is quite good at playing football.

Negatives to be factored in would be quite simply if we are unable to hold a two goal lead againist Stoke City, then perhaps the task against Joso Mourinho’s boys ought to be undertaken in Bernie Clifton ostritches and at least we could say we were doing it for charity.

We’ve now scored I think about half a dozen goals less than Citeh, which even to twitching wannabe tax exile says we have not so much a scoring problem – although Defoe should be swapped for someone with more to their game than ‘under me right foot and piiiing!’ – but a defensive one.

Citeh are quite frugal with how many they score, but this is compensated by the fact they conceed very few. We do not.

The Woodgate and King thing needs to be addressed once and for all and before a ball is kicked next season and without fail. Sod the ‘Long Live The King’ brigade. He’s finished. Lots of love, respect, kudos and lingering hugs, fit some platinum castors on him and send him out to stud and graze in the Essex nightclub scene. Woody should be given a VW Campervan, The Hair Bair Bunch Collection on DVD, a suitcase full of money and a map of the world.

Word today is that HisNameIsRioAndHe’sAlwaysInTheStands was approached. Wonderfully ambitious. Who next, Frankie Lampard? Let’s stop fannying about and shore up Kaboul and Dawson and get on with it. There are lots of top notch defenders out there. And much easier business than trying to land a striker.

That is all.

We have the two Kyles to come back from loan, we have Gallas as the wise old head for defence.
For midfield ship out Jenas, bring back O’Hara perhaps (at least he drives forward and not afraid to get stuck in).
Strikeforce, who to get??? City bought Dzecko and the bindippers got Suarez, both have not set the premiership on fire. Torres looks finnished.

We’ve got an outside chance of getting top 4, but it’s gonna be tough. COYS

I know it’s off topic but Harry Boy thinks we can turn ’em over in the second leg.

Is that a second leg with bells on!!?? :-D

I honestly wonder what goes through some people’s minds – or the space to let where it ought to be – I heard that interview on the radio this afternoon and they missed the killer line.

H says,’we’ll just ‘ave to put four past ’em and see where we go from there…’ or something very very similar.

Absolute gold. I’m amazed they didn’t get that quote in. I think it was Talksport….?

      We’re Spurs.

We’ll be 4-0 up at half time. Make it 5 in the 90th minute, then concede a silly penalty in added time so Real go through on away goals.

Have to agree about King and Woody. To be fair Harry has taken action with Bassong Gallas Kaboul and Khumalo coming in. How many more do we want? We have been seriously unlucky with injuries.

Up front Crouch Defoe Pav are all good. Sure Defoe has has a torrid time, but so has Torres (who he?) We can get someone to freshen up the options, but what system are we playing ?

Seems to me our real problems are in midfield. Not an absence of talent – Modric Bale Lennon Krankie VdV Hudd Sandro Wilson and even Jenas Rose Bostick etc. No the real problem is how to fit this lot of talent into a consistent package covering attack and defence. Harry has tried, but we haven’t got it right yet. We have made some gains in losing the soft touch reputation, but we have score 2 get one free approach that has to stop.

I think we could lose a couple of these talents and still come out with a better TEAM. But what do I know……..

Tuesday, I would have rather seen Bentley (remember him?)in for Lennon. He had some decent games last year when Lennon was out. It seems a waste when we’re struggling for players and we let him go off to Brum.
