The Officially Licensed Pre-Match Prattle

Good Greebling,

West Brom indoors then and I promise to do my best to not be the stuck record I have become in such instances. You know what I’m talking about. We go to work in the most proper fashion against a good team (and Arsenal) and then we act like confused goats against a so called lesser sides.

If we play against this lot like we did against Le Arse, we’ll smack this mob 4-0 or more. West Brom aren’t awful, far from it. They sit 3rd in the Barclay’s Premiership Form Guide.

Might I be candid? I’m getting somewhat bored ‘hoping’ that we get our act together when playing this type of opposition. Our strikers need to wake up and detach themselves from this ‘one of them games’ mentality.

Let me hopefully hit home with this one…

Arsenal are a bunch of whining gits, apologists and blah blah blah’s because the management allows it. Let’s distinguish ourselves and win purely because we’re fundamentally better. No ‘bad luck’ no ‘tough to break down’, no ‘they’ve been on a good run’.

Just whack ’em and BIOYWBAC!

I think we will win tomorrow but tbh 4th is a slim chance. The table judges teams over a whole season and we have dropped too many points by failing to score to give ourselves any more than an outside chance.

Still a very good season overall and if we can suspend the transfer freeze long enough to fix the strikers next month we can push on to overtake the goons next season and maybe better. Fingers crossed that one of the teams above us implode.

If Arry wakes up and smells the coffee he just might realise that when we play five in midfield we tend to play better. By playing this formation our leading scorer the Dutch maestro can go where the mood takes him and by playing just one striker we actually improve the goalscoring potential of the team.

We all know it makes sense

    except ……………

Need to keep Tabs on O Them Whingy hes a flyer and our back 4 won’t catch him if he gets in the only other player worth worrying about is the boy Brunt sweet left peg ! No more dicking about it’s Crouch and Pav up front with DVD supporting otherwise an unchanged side except Baler !! COYS

HH, you’ve forgotten the old world class keeping display excuse.

I reckon whatever happens today, we’ll somehow make a meal of it. I’m just counting down the days till we can get rid of the pile of nonsense know as our forwards.

I’d imagine it would be lennon for bale on the left and vdv on the right again, which I am overall comfortable with.

I’m definitely uncomfortable with that and agree with ODM, 451 suits our slow centre midfielders and VdV, while minimising the damage of actually having to play some of our lacklustre ‘strike force’!!

On another note, I see HH is getting bored of talking about the right mentality for playing opposition of a lower quality… reminds me heavily of a certain Chelski in the Ranieri years, plenty of class in the squad and able to upset anyone, but often losing 2-0 away to Middlesbrough etc…

Point is it took a master tactician like the wonder boy Mourinho to make anything happen. You see where I’m going with this?
