3MP Enquiries Made

If you can tear yourself away from Ryan Giggs’ penis for just one moment…

I of course stole that from Ben Goldacre in the Guardian. As I commented to an esteemed colleague, there are opening lines and there are opening lines. That has to be the modern equivalent of Call me Ishmael.

That’s the fastest digression ever.

Arguably good news – cheerfully doing the rounds this morning like a happy bin man – is that enquiries are being made for old 3MP. This will be received belligerently by those who have footage of that goal against City kept ion a locket about their necks and it won’t please Arry.

First through the door was apparently Steve Bruce. Apparently there has been little or no communication since the price was revealed. What that figure was I cannot tell you.

Second had been what the press would call the threat of an audatious swoop from none other than QPR. Again I don’t have any figures.

Bruce is obviously sitting on his Barren Dent dosh and the  QPR interest reveals that –  despite all the mumbles coming out of Loftus Road – they are planning to give it a good go and not just rake in as much as they physically can while they’re here.

As I say, it’s difficult to believe Arry is in a hurry to flog Pete. Yet another good reason to have that splendid Mr Levy running the show.

Didn’t his dad used to play for Celtic?

Redknapp to Chelsea rumours show no signs of stopping. All the parties involved seem strangely silent on the matter too…

Winter in America……indeed. The bagpuss to Chelski story is lacking in denials, but still can’t see it happening. Levy needs cast iron assurance they wont come in for Bale and Modric, if Harry goes, as we did when Arnesen left.

    afternoon fight fans

please god let this be true, the giraffe to QPR has legs I hope

can’t see the lovely abbey clancey rocking around the north east in her louboutins some how but we live in hope

spoke to number of spurs’ fans in past few days, must say most seem quite happy with the thought of ‘arry fucking off somewhere else (in fact anywhere else!), they all agree we’ve done shit in the league despite getting 5th

funny how quick sentiment changes, sometimes you have to be careful for what you wish for.

      Ringside, Kent Walton…

Replacing Arry would possibly rubber-stamp us not getting back into the CL for another 300 years. He just needs to say fewer foolish things (probably won’t happen) motivate our lot to beat rubbish teams (be interesting to watch that happen) and to stop trying to sign 3rd grade English tut.

now without reigniting the whole war, do you actually think the man is capable of those things?

        personally i don’t.

which is why i wouldn’t be too broken up if he leaves. which isn’t to say I have pitchfork in hand, mind.

Levy’s PR dept tried to gag him at the start of last season allegedly & got told to do one by him allegedly.

I’m getting quite ambivalent about the situation now, I think he’s done better than he expected to do and is thinking maybe it’s time to get out while his stock is still quite high or in the alternative he’s trying to secure a better contract and/or more funding in the transfer market.

either way if he stays can you see him not wanting the england gig in 2012? That will leave us in the shit anyhow

Seems Hiddinck is happy to hear offers and must surely be favourite!

I agree Harry – losing ‘Arry at this point would be a set back .I’ve got a long memory and am pretty sick of the maneger merrygo round we’ve had for tha past 20 years. I’m no Harry lover but will raise the point again – it does not make sense to chop him now! A thought through replacement needs to be lined up first – and I don’t mean a ‘square ball’ Ancellotti/Wilkins combo. Are we really likely to attract top dollar talent in the summer with no view of who the manager’s gonna be? Delays in signing big names will I ‘m sure prompt Modders,Bale etc to think ‘why should I stay?’ – Comments from Bale yesterday ( and others over the months) show that our top players have time for him – even if he can’topen his mouth without pissing off big sections of supporters. Personally I’d worry if the key players were saying ” fuck of Harry” as much as some fans are.
