If wishes were horses, beggars would ride. If turnips were swords, I’d wear one by my side. If ifs and ands were pots and pans, there’d be no need for tinkers’ hands.

Anyone looking for something more sophisticated to kick than next door’s cat only has to dwell upon all the points dropped thrown hurled over arm bowled away in games against clubs who now litter the lower half of the table.

Now we can move on (some of us by the scruff of the neck) from the rosary bead clutching that dogged yesterday’s blog perhaps it’s time to assess the plan moving forward. And I’m not talking about the next few games. For information on the loss of 4th place kindly read the paragraph above this one.

The criminal yesterday outside of that lobotomised fecktard with the flag was undoubtedly Arry. He went for a draw. Look at the way he lined ’em up. Look at the way he sent ’em out. Look at the way he moved ’em about.

And what was the look of thunder about when Sandro scored? Was that the right time for a poker face? Arry tactically outwitted again. Is this old dog capable of learning new tricks?

Anyhoo, here are some player ratings…

At the turn of the year we were sitting in a great position after 9 points from 12 over the festive period, Chelsea were a shambles, Man u were inconsistent, Arsenal were Arsenal and we looked on for a big challenge poss even outsiders for the title, even `Arry said it, so it must be true. Since the end of Feb and the Dubai holiday the players have switched off and we have now only won 1 from the last 11, surely to be 5th at present shows how well we had done early season. Harry says “terrific season” and “that`s some turnaround in a couple of years.” Well i for one am not buying his Bulls**t.

It’s history now, but could someone please confirm if I my understanding of the offical rules are correct or that I am living in cloud cuckoo land. I have always believed that if there is even minimal doubt in a situation such as yesterday the DEFENDING team should always be given the call. This of course would not have to been applied to the Old Trafford debacle were the ball was clearly four feet over the line to everyone living in the world at the time with the exception of Ferguson and a linesman obviously visually impaired and as dim as a Toc H lamp to boot.

There was no doubt for the officials. There were completely certain that Abramovich would pay up.
