Good morning ladies.

Interesting bitta Tweeting going on from some chap called @karlsentk who describes himself as football analyst, (ex?) chief scout & sporting director, writer & opinionista. all views expressed are mine, not those of any employer/club i may represent.

‘As suggested over the past few weeks: spurs have made a bid (£8.5 million) for the Internacional front man Leandro Damiao’

‘the Spurs bid is quite likely to be accepted, according to sources close to the deal…’

‘has recently polished his finishing skills (scoring for fun in the state league), aggressive… still raw, needs to develop overall game’

‘great work ethics, tracks back, creates space, always has to play at 100% of his ability to make a difference’

‘Leandro Damiao would still require a work permit, as far as I know he doesn’t have a european passport’

Our very own  Sandro has said of him…“He is a very strong guy, he is the perfect size for English football, he can do very well here. Not only do Spurs want him, we read that other sides are also interested in Leandro Damiao.

Damiao is a guy who is globally known. He’s got quality. The directors always talks to me about Brazilian players. They asked me about Leandro Damiao and I told them he’s a fantastic guy of high quality. Hopefully we will knock on the door of Inter [Internacional] very soon.”

My concern in my capacity as harbinger of doom and dark foreboding monger is quite simply, ‘is the the boy any good?’ The Grauniad and others have suggested he’s been on the radar of Real, Barca, Liverpool & Yanited with suggested RRP of £15M.

I guess a good few hadn’t really heard of Modders or Sandro prior to their arrival and they are two of our best players…

This is the time of year that spursman comes into his own .where is he when you need him?

No doubt at extreme training camp in the Himalayas with Seal Team 6, honing his ITK skill and finesse to razor’s edge sharpness. Ready to titillate us all with word from the horse’s mouth.

queue training montage to tune of Eye of the Tiger

He’ll parachute in just as the window opens, spitting fiery death from his keyboard like Arnie in Commando…

        “Chennniiieeeeee!”

I remember watching Damaio in the game against Scotland, he shocked me in the fact that he won every header, was very powerful and really worked hard, sooo much like Sandro in the fact that they arent typical Brazilians at all.

Watched a few clips and he has pace, power, work ethic, aerial ability, age on his side….and he has been recognised at International level.

I live in Liverpool street, London (multi cultural capital of the world) so know a few brazilians who rate him as a huge propect and compare him to Adraino once of Inter Milan, but saying that they did say Sandro was just ok before he came over so there judgement is abit off

What time line do y’ll operate on? Thanks to Valium 5’s i missed a quarter of sunday and all of the Bank ‘olidee. Now i’m up and no shops are open. But goodness me HH has only posted an article. Forget that, Leandro…yep, coin that old Dell boy phrase and 20 or so goals next season a new hero, jumping in the park lane lower , shirt off gets booked sweet happy days, lets sign the motherlover.

from what I’ve seen on youtube he looks pretty ordinary against some very dodgy defending…just sayin

    • MysteriousStranger says:

Worrying then. Youtube usually makes the worst players seem great in a condensed highlights kind of way.

You’d never see a montage of Defoe missing the target, straying offside, handling the ball, missing pens or ignoring his team mates, would you?

Though now that I’ve come to think of it, there’s clearly a gap in the market :ninja: :freu

      • LosLorenzo says:

        Maybe it’s just reverse psychology?

      • astromesmo says:

Like the idea of the reverse youtube vid. There must be some keyboard whizz who can put together a reel of all the spurned chances from 2010/11… That would certainly be a longer video than the official ‘goals of the season’ chugger.

Well, thats my parade well and truely shat upon.

    Heskey?
