I like Bassong in a sort of don’t have any great reason to dislike him sort of way. But I guess you have to respect the fact he wants to play to an extent that he is actually prepared to do something about it.

He’s a half decent squad player – like you H I don’t think there’s anything to dislike about him. Could do with a bit more experience / growing up but as the man says …if they ain’t happy why try to keep’em. He’s not in the “we need to bend over and take one up the orifice for him” class.
Changing the subject – I’m more concerned about ‘Arry’s latest outburst. I suspect in some respects he has a point…but you don’t build a relationship with your fans by slagging, however annoying their comments are. A more diplomatic approach might have been to “understand their frustration” and “however I think they’re wrong”.I’m beginning to wonder,with his ‘pearls of wisdom’ becoming more frequent, whether old ‘Arry is looking to engineer a way out. “We can’t pay the wages”, “City are gonna buy up all the Monopoly hotels”, “what can you do?” “these fans are idiots”. He can’t put a transfer request in ‘cos he may need the severance payment given the upcoming tax case…..
I think the outburst was outrageous, and I find myself even more incensed that Levy has allowed an employee of his to insult thousands of customers and appears to be ignoring it.
I think Harry is spot on and the so called fans are showing how fickle they are and how limited their grasp of reality is.

Are the wheels coming off? Harry’s latest comments, particularly his abusive comments about ‘radio’ fans, are bang out of order. He sounds like a desperate man feeling the pressure; he also sounds like a man who is watching his dream of managing England slip away.
