The word comes from on high. Archie on Spurs Odyssey no less says that the man who wants out is Sebastien Bassong. For the player this will not be a quick process. Levy & Co do not simply hand out players like complimentary mint choccies like some friendly curry house.
Any prospective owner will have to pass stringent tests. Namely being able to lay their hands on market value and show a willingness to hand it over.
I like Bassong in a sort of don’t have any great reason to dislike him sort of way. But I guess you have to respect the fact he wants to play to an extent that he is actually prepared to do something about it.

How can any new player impress at Spurs. Harry has no idea when it comes to new or youth players. We’re meant to have some very good youth players but HR never gives them a chance. Look at Fergie, sticking on a youth player for the last 10 minutes of a game. But Harry is extremely selfish: he’s only interested in the immediate future….which is why he looks at every Golden Oldie available. In all honesty I Was happy with this policy if it meant CL football and success. But obviously not now.

‘Arry is, always will be, a wheeler dealer. He loves a cheap deal and prefers to spend big on rubbish players he knows – Crouch, Keane, Defoe etc. We need a manager who knows the history of the club and our ethos – not the ‘hoofing a long ball 60 yards to Crouch’ style that has cost us this season. Lets develop our young talented players, Walker, Naughton, Caulker, Kaboul, Bassong, Huddlestone, Rose, Townsend, Bale, Lennon, Kane, Modric, Sandro could form the heart of the team, with 2 good goal scoring strikers, backed by one young kid with potential – Wickham? Add to the squad our regulars, Dawson, Gomes, BAE,Defoe and dump the rest – including VDV who causes us to change our shape and lessens our scoring chances. The three P’s – pace, power and passing.
