‘A deal has been put in place to sign South Korea forward Park Chu-young from AS Monaco for around £5.3m.’

So say National.ae who claim to be the leading English-language voice in the Middle East.

‘The captain of his national team and a scorer at the last World Cup, the 6ft tall Park can operated as a central striker or on the right hand side of the attack.

The 25-year-old is looking for wages of around £60,000 a week, but brings with him significant commercial income due to his popularity in Asia.’

Kerrching.

25 goals in 91 games for Monaco. Not exactly a 20+ goals a season type then

Lived in Korea for a few years and actually think he would be a decent buy.He has some talent, great in the air, and he’s a hard worker.

My wife’s a hard worker but she cant play fuzball’
what about Sandra she can score more than Darren Bent

    • col says:

Yeah and Darren Bent can score more than Defoe,Crouch and Pav.Now we hear wun hung lo scores 25 in 91 games so thats about 12 per season making him a potential leading striker and only 3 behind our top midfield scorer. My excitment and anticipation know no bounds,

Don’t mention the guy we sold to Fulham who is also now belting in goals… what was his name now…? somthing begining with Z?

Another Sandra of a miss by Bent for England.

That summed him up for me. He will score a lot of goals, maybe 20+ a season, but when it really matters, when that crunch moment comes along, he misses.that miss vs Swizterland was dreaful…whole goal to aim at, keeper on the deck, beautiful wembley turf, chance to round off our comeback and give us all three points….SKIES IT. Fucking Bent!!

      • Tony says:

Actually Bent scores at a lower rate than Pav in terms of goals per minute – despite Bent scoring so many. Bent’s goal record is overly-contrived because he insists on throwing a wobbly when he is not playing every minute of every game. This is really why he left Spurs. if he was true quality, he would have proven it at Spurs. But Bent is more concerned about his end of season goal total than whether his team is winning or playing well or not.
