Italians Say We’re Plotting A £12.5M Bid

It’s coming thick and fast this morning. I can only point the finger at the new brand of grape juice in the fridge.

Stuttgart defender – centre back as it goes – Serdar Tasci is the name in the frame. TuttomercatoWeb understandwe’ve been scouting the player and that subject to our scouts not being held up and having all their sweeties pinched they are advising a bid go in.

Is he any good? How in the hell would I know? He’s certainly addressing an area (as per the last blog) that urgently needs addressing. The money is on the high side for a player with his profile and perhaps tends to reflect a few years left on his contract.

In other news, the Daily Mail suggest Modders will likely be subject to a three way bidding war. If, or (looking more likely) when he goes we better go shopping. Now I know they Daily Mail are generally full of shit but when you have the three biggest (and two richest) clubs looking to buy him, for a club like Spurs, with our “little stadium” etc., it looks more and more like a runner. I suggest we start our shopping now, then let the bidding war commence, get these three muppets cutting their own throats by paying well over the odds, for Luka Mods. None of this fannying around either please. And if the right (i.e. silly large) bid does come in, we’ll be ready and able to plug the hole (as in, not a repeat of what transpired with the Berbatwat saga).

I think he’ll give us one more season. He seems the loyal type and knows he is adored by us lot.

However if levy gets a huge offer then you’re right we should have a replacement. Trouble is by sniffing around Europe (cos I can’t think of a good enough EPL midfielder off hand?) we are giving the red tops fuel for their fire and therefore weakening our bargaining position

I’d much rather hear again from Levy and Arry (and the man himself) that he isn’t going anywhere

As I remember, you were saying the same thing about the Bulgarian, right up until the moment he was mincing around the corridors of Old Trafford live on Sky Sports.

Read what i posted. You will see me mentioning if a huge offer comes in we will and should take it. You will also remember how much berba went for? It wasn’t an amount to be sniffed at

          Think that covers it nicely

I am assuming TMWNN is saying you were probably coming out with some “He’ll be loyal, he won’t go yet” jizz before Berba did go, when those amongst us who don’t live in cloud cuckoo land were musing the opposite.

          It would be quite likely.

          Think that covers it nicely.

When Modric does leave, and let’s face it, he’d be daft not to, I wonder if rent-a-gob will still consider this season just gone as ‘the best ever’. The full ramifications of failing to put shit teams to bed due to Redknapp’s/Levy’s negligence and incompetence in the transfer market are coming to the fore.
