Playing Dos Santos as a winger (when he is not one) would likely be as successful as it proved to be by playing VdV there.

Dos Santos would not be Lennon’s replacement.
Dos Santos has never been given a chance to prove if he is a “top, top” player. He got the same peg in the dressing room as Alfie Conn and Nico Claesen. When you look at some of the dross we have got or in the case of Pienaar are still buying, it really is pitiful.
So why was he a total flop on loan in Spain? Afraid you are being seduced by someone who wants to play for his country in a slower pace of game but not for clubs.
