From Inside The Lane: Arry & Tim Want Les OUT

Guten Abend.

This won’t go down well (that’s what she said) with some but it comes from a depressingly decent source.

Answer me this. Is there a thing, a device more transparent in the known world than that of Arry Redschnapps? I think not.

If you ask any Spurs fan who our striker coach is they will all answer with the same name. Les Ferdinand.

So why does Arry raise the issue HERE???

“although we already have Les Ferdinand who comes in to help our strikers”

“Comes in to help our strikers”  – Sorry Arry, comes in to help? You dirty rotter. Can’t you do anything behind closed doors?

There’s been a royal bust up between Sherwood & Les that will see Les walk from The Lane very shortly. How could his position remain tenable?

My guy tells me that it is Timothy Sherwood that has Arry’s ear. And if you will forgive the vernacular, it is Timothy that is being groomed by our tight lipped supremo in the hope that Levy & Co will see him as the ‘natural’ and ‘inexpensive’ successor.

I could weep.

Not first, but I got into the CL, places.

  • Hamish says:

None of us remember Tim with a great amount of affection – chasing shadows around the centre of our pitch without guile or cunning. But why do we suppose that he would make a bad manager Mr Harry? And why do we suppose – when all the evidence would suggest the diametrically opposite – that Sir Les is as good at coaching as he is at grooming and skin care? I’d say the performance of our strikers over the last couple of seasons would suggest he’s actually rubbish.

The old gits I used to stand by and sit with always told me what a plank Venables was, but then again there are those that almost destroyed Sugars gaff trying to get him reinstated as manager, your point is valid, managers/coaches sometimes have point and purpose to prove as well!. ps this was the guy who donated his entire salary once as I recall, off the point I know, but an insight nontheless!

  • jfdit says:

I recall a many a miserable afternoon watching les playing for us, cup final against blackburn in cardiff in particular when his inability to hit a horse’s arse with a banjo cost us the game.

the fact is yes he’s a nice bloke bla bla bla…….. he was a mediocre striker, he has no coaching credentials or badges and has single handedly overseen the most pathetic display of striking ability I have had the misfortune to witness.

Scapegoat – possibly, best person to coach our forwards? FRO

  • Ian S says:

Must agree with other posters that Les’s coaching results don’t seem particularly impressive.
Surely Clive Allen would be in front of Sherwood in the coaching succession planning? I suspect we’re more likely to go for Coyle or Moyes though, if the FA come calling for Harry.

    • jfdit says:

i don’t mind watching coyle’s teams play, moyes’s teams on the other hand are generally dire to watch so no thanks

I think we’ll struggle to get anyone better than ‘arry if and when he departs, he ain’t perfect by any means and we’ll all agree he needs to shut the fuck up but he’s generally done well with us bar the league form at the end of last season and a couple of cup exits.

Who realistically could do a better job with the resources available?

      • Essexian76 says:

Been saying that for an age, who else is out there, it’s all well and good banding names, but c’mon reality check please. Small crowds, low resources and no CL doesnt make us exactly top drawer now, does it?

        • jfdit says:

things can change quickly, if the NLD project gets underway I’ve been told that levy and Lewis wish to sell up and bank their profits, who knows who they’ll sell out to???????

any manager coming in after ‘arry will need to have the qualities of a cloughie or a fergie to take us forward, I don’t see managers around with that ability or charisma. I watch Real Madrid quite a lot and I don’t think Maureen’s style of footie would be well liked by the natives of WHL

By the way our resources ain’t that bad, we were in the top 12 clubs in europe revenue wise up to the start of last season

Unfortunately football has turned into a rich mans pissing contest, our owners don’t like showing their dicks unlike the likes of the russian and the arabs. Their financial doping will ensure the league remains uncompetitive bar the new top 3. :-(

        • Essexian76 says:

I’ve no doubt, but I can’t honestly see ENIC selling us out either to a Young or Shinupadrainpipe either, no people forget Levy is a fan as well, our own David Dein if you like, very much misunderstood and villified, but has our heart and soul as well, I wish I was his PR guy, I’d earn a mint instead of being skint BTW

        • Essexian76 says:

You really are so misguided it’s almost a matter of concern on my part. Look at any recent records since the PL began.NO,really look them up, then repeat exactly what you’ve just posted! As I’ve constantly said. I deal in facts not opinion, look them up, please because you’re boring me now!

        • jfdit says:

I’ve never been ENIC’s biggest fan especially since I was given an close insight to them by someone who knows both lewis & levy.

Levy’s a good chairman who appears to have his heart in the right place, Lewis doesn’t give two fucks about football IMO, it was nearly nine years of ownership before he even watched us play at home – golf is apparently his big passion.

        • Essexian76 says:

@jfdt Sorry that comment wasn’t directed at you, I do apologize for any misunderstanding, but it popped up where it shouldn’t have. But once again, You’re right, I’ve been saying for an eternity that lewis has no interest in Spurs other than an investment hence the title(ENIC). All this codswallop about a billionaire owner-fan is complete tosh. levy however, is a fan and passionate about getting us back up there to compete. If they sell, it’ll be for the clubs benefit or else why didn’t they just flog it Roman?

      • Phil McAvity says:

You won’t get a realistic answer because there is no-one at present available who could do a better job!!

A certain few on here need to realise that!!

        • Essexian76 says:

          Love you Phil, mwah!

        • Hartley says:

You can’t even fill your cavity despite openly whoring your needs on a daily basis to all and sundry which, by the way is of no interest to anybody on here, have you tried arseanal.com?

Getting the next boss of The Hotspurs of Tottingham is far, far more important and an easy comeback question raised by the misguided whenever trout face is brought into question, once your cavity has been filled with whatever you have been dreaming of, then and only then may you ask who we (the ambitious) would like to fill his boots….

        • Essexian76 says:

That’s harsh Hartley as I see it Phils got a point and is entitled to post an opinion same as you or I, but Harry has taken us to another level, that’s a fact. Also (while checking on a few facts re our earlier conflab), the one about his success rate makes for pretty damning reasoninmg on Phil’s behalf. I cannot recall ANY manager having such an impressive home record in the 40 years I’ve supported Spurs as Harry’s. Now I hate the guy, really, truly and without hesitation, but equally facts are facts and his stats are damned impressive in 3 years, I had to draw breath to understand, as I too was taken in by his media face and soundbites

        • Hartley says:

What can I say, I love this club and passion can get the better of you sometimes….I’m getting bored of the cavity’s one trick pony answer and sure others must feel the same…

        • Hartley says:

OK on reflection I may have been a little harsh perhaps even homophobic….I do now have a better idea Phil, why don’t you just turn up unannounced at our leaders next press conference, jump up on the desk in front of him, drop your pants, turn your back and part your cheeks and watch your dream come true as soon as he opens his gob…your cavity will certainly get filled….with all the shite it could ever wish for…

        • eastanglianspur says:

@unfilled cavity “You won’t get a realistic answer because there is no-one at present available who could do a better job!!

A certain few on here need to realise that!!”

Tut tut such negativity and such a generalised unqualified statement. It could even be the sort of thing old trout chops would say. :daumen:

        • eastanglianspur says:

Looks, too, like there’s no hope for Essexian76 either!! “Love you Phil, mwah!” 8O

        • Essexian76 says:

You missed both the point and sentiment the as per usual Eastanglian, because I’ve always listed out my reasons clearly and often, yet you persist in posting nothing but your take which is personal. Opinion is fine, that’s what this media is for, but if we’re talking about hard-nosed unadulterated facts, you’ve lost hands down. As I’ve said repeatedly, I detest Redknapp as a person and he does more harm than good with his mouth. But his comparitive record in 3 seasons cannot be challenged. As for Levy, I cannot be bothered to list all the good things the guys done, yet to date you’ve not given a solitary reason other than a personal dislike, to make me reconsider my opinion. So it’s only fair and demotractic that if you post something and there’s a response tag, I’ll respond..! However I don’t know Phil, you or anyone else, so it’s not personal or trying to clever is debate or have I got that wrong as well in your opinion?

        • Phil McAvity says:

          Hartley – Pot, Kettle, Black!!

        • Phil McAvity says:

Hartley – You were indeed harsh as you are the one trick pony!

You and East post the shame negative anti-Harry lines after every article!!

And keep your homosexual press conference fantasies to yourself please, there’s a good chap.

        • Hartley says:

My views on Redknapp will never change but the way I express them do….You my friend are like a broken record whenever he is brought into question with the same old….now sing along…”Tell me who, who, who’s gonna replace him?”

I don’t disagree with everything you comment on, just like I don’t agree with everything essexian76 or eastanglianspur state but please attempt to come up with something more original when replying to ‘Redknapp Out’ chants, perhaps a valid reason with facts as to why you believe he should stay.

        • Phil McAvity says:

That’s a bit more like it Hartley, some sensible debate, no need for you to flip your lid like in your earlier post, calm down it’s Friday!!

Your last message is condescending though, I’m like a broken record am I? To be honest I find your replies exactly the same, that’s why I don’t normally reply to them as they get boring quickly. I don’t think your anti-Harry replies differ as much as you think they do!

As for your question, how about you answer mine first seeing as I have asked it to you on numerous occasions and it has still gone unanswered?

If Redders goes today then who will realistically replace him? Come on, I know you’ve got it in you!!

        • Hartley says:

I have stated on previous threads who my preferred choices would be and unlike others on here (when I say others I mean you :gaehn: ) I don’t enjoy repeating myself….

        • Phil McAvity says:

I don’t remember seeing them, on numerous occasions of you being asked too.

Then again I did say ‘realistically’ which is probably where our lack of communication lies.

You know what, please don’t answer (again apparently) as I don’t care anymore!!

          Good day to you sir.

        • Phil McAvity says:

What’s with all these gay tendencies on here today, first Hartley and now you Cheese!!

Anyway, I can do better than him!! :-p

        • Cheeseybell says:

Why dont you both just nosh each other off… :gaehn:

        • Hartley says:

In reply to philMcAvity, they are there to be seen…..have a look back, probably all in the last month..

        • eastanglianspur says:

@Essexian76 No, I have missed nothing and Redknapp has not had three good seasons unless you’re wearing those rose coloured specs again.

Levy may have done some good things in the past but those so called ‘good things’ are interspersed with numerous bad things – the Jol/Ramos debacle being just one. The director of football/Comolli business another – to me these are all signs of bad decision making. His failure to prepare for this season another, and previous seasons with the Berbasulk fiasco.

His hand is definitely in the Modric saga too.

Like that unfilled cavity individual you need a reality check.

        • Phil McAvity says:

East – I will agree that Levy isn’t perfect but who is?

I reckon there are many fans who wish their chairman was more like ours.

        • Essexian76 says:

So Levy’s bad for Spurs eh? If he’s made mistakes then they’ve been in the clubs best interests. Jol was fired because No1- we were in the shit.No2- Jol had also met previously with Newcastle and it was expected he’d walk as his relationship with Comolli had become untenable. Redknapp’s record is there to look up, its not ancient history-look it for yourself, facts mate, not opinion. Now while you’re on try looking up the word Bigot and it’s true meaning. I’ve supported Spurs home away and abroad for too amny years to delude myself into thinking we’re in a position to offer a league challenge, perhaps 1985 being the last serious tilt. Now we’re in a position to take stock, get shot of loads of crud, crud that could only be moved on because of last minute panic’s. These players needed to be shifted out before any newcomers could be bought in-common-sense.Would you have preferred us to buy Carroll 35m, bargain eh?, what about Torres a snip at 50m, no get a reality hat on, where and who could we have bought in? For heavens sake you’re beyond belief sometimes. Someone states we’ve had 5 out of seven clean sheets, your reply-yeah but what about City and Utd, two sides who hit the ground running while we were trying to sort ourselves out. You appear to be wanting failure to prove your point or success at any price, and we are simply not in position to go out and spend multi-millions on potential and or high risk purchses.

        • eastanglianspur says:

“So Levy’s bad for Spurs eh? If he’s made mistakes then they’ve been in the clubs best interests.”

This is delusional sycophantic thinking on a grand scale. Unless a mistake in your syntax world means something completely different from my world of reality where mistake = a fuck up. :-D

    Shearer then?
