Rubin Kazan Indoors

Good mid morning and welcome to the Europa.

My first observation is that Rubin Kazan would have been a great name for a character in Angel Heart. And my second is that this will be the battle of the nearly men.

Louis Cyphre: Are you an atheist?
Harry Angel: Yeah, I’m from Brooklyn.

Sure I was put back in my box by the vast majority of you that voted in a recent poll. Things have changed and clearly most people don’t give as stuff about this competition. So tonight will be interesting as I believe that  Rubin Kazan do care and they will be fielding their finest.

So will Arry play the kids? My guess is that the side will remain slanted that way. The Europa is a pleasant enough distraction for the up and coming players but essentially a nuisance in respect of the first teamers. Why would he make dramatic changes now?

Gio and Pav are pretty much guaranteed a start I guess. So if they fail again to set the world alight being serviced by children, their coffins will have definitely more nails in than wood.

I hope I am wrong. I hope we get cracker of a game, but if we do it may be down to the visitors kick starting proceedings.

    Redknapp’s got the golden touch.
Even a mish mash line up against the fancied Rubies delivers the win. Some good performances esp Carrol but yet another game for Gio fans to erase off their Sky Plus. At last we have a free kick taker. Can we bring Pav on and off whenever we get a free kick near the box?

PAVS GOAL WAS A CORKER BUT IT COULD HAVE GONE ANYWHERE THE WAY HE HIT IT AND MORE OFTEN IT DOES

whoop whoop 7 days exile and I am now back on this blog.Gomes could have saved both of the barcodes goals. but if he was in goal and carried the ball over the line like that he would of been slaughtered ,as it happened not a peep on here from anyone. Also congrats to Astro and Astra.Got some good spurs dna in there.

We all know Gomes is a great shot-stopper, that has never been in question. It is the fact he can go from greatness to a grade A f*ck up in the space of 2 minutes that concerns many on here!!

3points off the barcodes would have been nice though !

Walker and Bassong were quality. Carroll very good too. Livers is going to be a very importnat player for us in the next few years. If he could get to grips at CH we would have another Ledley on our hands

Just wish Basser could be more relaxed on the ball…he scares me most of the time

    Thoroughly enjoyable game

So Jermain Defoe thinks he could be the next Wayne Rooney? Don’t make me laugh.
