Positive Quotes At Last From Modders?

Good morning.

Well done to all who took part in the caption competition and my apologies to Aaron Knell’s missus who was woken up in the small hours by him laughing at the captions.  ltrftp won, by the way.

The boy with the Chicken Badge allergy himself, SuperLukaNutsAreWe provided a couple of lines to Sky Sports after the Villa game on Monday night.

“We needed some fresh blood in our team, Scotty and Manu came in. They are great players. They have improved our squad a lot and you can see that on the pitch.

“Now we are in third we have hard games coming up so we just have to keep fighting for each other and keep this momentum up.”

Not to be confused with a oath to name his first born daughter Weststandia, but an improvement on the old ‘raunchy president’ sketch that took the wind out of all our sails not to long ago.

If we finish top four and renew Luka’s contract to up his wages, I am hopeful he will stay. Anyway, why would he want to move to Chelsea if he can play for a team who finished above them (fingers crossed!), light up the Champs League with their exciting and pacey football and pay him what he wants?

We need him at the club, end of story.

He could be the next Ossie

  • Benspur says:

Junior Hoilett and Chris Samba, Huntelaar….three players to keep us competitive

Funny enough I was just looking a K-JH’s stats; 12 in 12 games for Shalke 04, and we all know about Samba, who I prefer to Cahill as he’s more imposing and dynamic, but wouldn’t be too fussed as it’s looking bad Gallas and Dawson’s a liability without King beside him.

Every transfer window, top of my wish list is Huntelaar.

A 5 man midfield, and him and Ade up front. It’s almost a wet dream

    • Anthony In That Number says:

Those 3 would be ideal and perhaps Dembele.

Is this what you people do all day? Stop wasting your time and life on football, wasting your day talking about rubbish that is never going to benefit you. I am sure you are all grown up to understand, that you will gain nothing by throwing your time away to write about football, where the men themselves make a living out of it.

Use your time effectively, and do good things for the community.

You never know when you will die. As each second goes by, you get closer and closer to your death.

I urge you all to think about this.

    Thank you.

    Michael

Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way.

Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain.
You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you.
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun.

So you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it’s sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again.
The sun is the same in a relative way but you’re older,
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death.

Every year is getting shorter never seem to find the time.
Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way
The time is gone, the song is over,
Thought I’d something more to say.

      • Harry Hotspur says:

Shine on old man. Shine on.

      • Razspur says:

        I`ve lived a life that`s full,
        Travelled each and every highway,
But more, much more than this,
        I did it my way.

      • Razspur says:

We worship every day, every week, every season……we worship the players, the team, some even worship the manager, believe it or not we worship the ground they play on. We pray daily for deliverence from the lower reaches, we aspire to reach our Holy Grail and just now when we are within touching distance you come onto our site uninvited and attempt to preach fire and brimstone, to move the goalposts. Go deal with the Paedophiles, satanists and fornicators found on many other EPL club sites for they are indeed in need of salvation.

I urge you to piss off and find a christian scientists blog and be better informed in regards to football, communities and what they bring to each other!

    • Essex1981 says:

      No, thank you Michael.

You’ve made me realise that by writing about football, going to football matches and talking about football i’d succesfully managed to avoid people like you (until now).

      Kiss kiss.

    • SpurredoninDublin says:

      @Michael

Or we could spend our time telling people on the Internet on blogs like this, that they are wasting their time.

That would be a really great use of our time.

Besides, what else would I do for fun? I see here like Sandro preparing his tackle, waiting for the next Wet Sham, Arse aor Cheatski fan to come into my parlour and… well you know the rest. I know it’s a dirty job, but somebody has to do it.

During the meantime Michael, cant you find some Christians to save from the Lions?

    • Billy Legit says:

Have you lost your tambourine, Michael?

Feeling a bit lost and naked without it are we?

Thought by going on a Spurs blog and being incredibly self-righteous would fill the void?

Never mind sunshine, you can get a good deal on second-hand tambourines on ebay…….if your religious predilections allow you to, of course.

You never know when you will die. As each second goes by, you get closer and closer to your death.

I urge you all to think about this.

I urge you to go back to knocking on peoples doors and asking them if they are happy in this world we live in.
We don’t come on here to discuss death. We come on here to discuss the team we love and yes we benefit from it as I makes us happy. A bit of friendly banter, sometimes even interlectual (cough)

      • SpurredoninDublin says:

Sounds like the Jehovahs witnesses have found a door that is slamming in there faces.

I once let a JW into my house. I made him a cup of tea sat him down, and asked him what he wanted to talk about?

Took me completely by surprise when he said “How the fucK do I know. I’ve never got this far before”!

        • Razspur says:

JW`s came to my door one day, introduced themselves, “Hi we`re Jehovahs Witnesses”, I said “Honest Guvner i never even saw the kid, I`ve been in the house all day,”

  • Spurfect says:

I wouldnt take any notice of any quote from any player anymore. Not after Modrics pledge last January, saying how he didn’t need to go anywhere else as he was at a big team with great players who could grow together and he could achieve all his dreams with Spurs.

He is however, ours. And will remain so at least until next Summer, and beyond if we achieve what is possible this season.

The only English teams we need to worry about regarding Modders are the Manc clubs. Utd need a midfielder badly, and City need to deprive Utd of such players and can gazzump them on price everytime.

Get him on a more attractive wage and he will want to continue the reinstatement of our great club in the top tiers of Europeon Football, into our amazing new training complex next summer with a stadium on the way by then hopefully. Coys

  • juxta says:

Great times and hopes indeed but we’re more than likely to take a few steps backwards when Redknapp leaves.
If I had to choose between keeping Modric or Redknapp, my vote’s for Arry because he’s been the reason we’re up where we are after decades in the wilderness.

    • Alpha T says:

I would agree with the choice but not reasons before Ramos, BMJ had us knocking on the door to the 4th spot with only lasagna-gate stopping us one year, we had TWO consecutive seasons finishing 5th with the shade of the players we have now, so we have worked hard year after year on improving as a team & as a club, then I agree losing BMJ & bringing in Ramos(especially in the fashion he was)did set us back so that would be my reasons for consistent management style to keep the SPURS MARCHING IN! :daumen:
