Just One In, One Out In January…

Good afternoon.

And here’s today’s thought for you. Graham Roberts was on talkSPORT today and named A&E as his weakest link in the current Tottingham team sheet.

The sanity of identifying Benny Sue as our weak link evades me. He’s called A&E for a reason of course – whilst on a run of assured performances there is always a vague underlying threat of a trip to casualty – but he’s been great of late. I also believe he’s added hugely to the positive vibe that’s about the club right now.

So if you were Arry; what move would make in January? The January window is ordinarily a relatively sober affair.

Tell me about your singular swap!

    Talksport WHO?

BAE Was also good last season. Guess we will miss him under African Championship!

But Pav out, Cahill in. It’s not only about scoring the goals…

Not a lot of people able to follow the rules of the game. One in, one out in January.

In fantasyland, I’d be more than happy for Adeboy to be the “one in” (on a permanent).

“One out” is much tougher. If I were to judge on their last performance, it would have to be Peanut. Had I not known he had bundles of international caps, I wouldn’t have even guessed he was a professional footballer based on that. But that isn’t fair; only one game, not fully fit after long injury, yadda-yadda-yadda. I’d like to say Jenas or Bentley, but they’ll both be injured until after the January window closes, no? Pav? For the right price, but only if we get another striker in (which we don’t if Ade is my “one in”). Ummmm… I guess, since we’re in fantasyland still, I’m left with; Gio to abroad for £10m.

That’s in fantasyland. If I put on my cynical realist hat I would point out the following. You would have to be a time travelling mind reader, able to know what all the actors involved (Levy, Aitch, and whoever we want plus their agent and current club chariman) think about what they are willing to pay/receive, once we all have put a month or more, plus a good number of football matches behind them. Because as it is today, not even Levy knows what he will be willing to pay in January, not ever Troutchops knows who he will most want to buy, and not even the players know what wages they will be willing to accept.

Think we’ve left the Damiao one too late, the agent seems like a right prick. “Agent is A Prick Shocker”, but he looks the bollocks, strong, has a bit of pace, can see him adapting to the prem. If that ship has sailed then maybe an Anelka type for the rest of the season.

One guy I watched last night & who I highly rate and someone I’m tipping as potential replacement should Modric ever up sticks….Moussa Dembele…this is the part I turn around and you all pelt me with Oranges.
