Tottenham Hotspur F.C. are in the process of scheduling an international exhibition game at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore this July.

The English Premier League team is eyeing a three-city U.S. tour, with Baltimore and Los Angeles among the cities poised to host games.

A schedule has not been finalized. Tottenham’s opponents, too, have not been determined.

Diane Pelkey  Under Armour Inc.  spokesperson.

Under Armour are of course the Baltimore based  sportswear maker who have of course just sealed a multi-year deal to provide jerseys and other team apparel to the  Tottingham.

Ravens President Dick Cass has said the team wants to bring international soccer back to the stadium in 2012 after not hosting a game in 2011. International soccer exhibitions were played at the 71,000-seat M&T Bank Stadium in 2009 and 2010.

So far Tottingham officials declined to comment. Mark Burdett, vice president of corporate sales and development for the Baltimore Ravens , M&T Bank Stadium’s primary tenant, has also declined to comment.

Tottenham last toured the U.S. in 2010, playing in Santa Clara, Calif., and at Red Bull Arena in Northern New Jersey. Last year, the team toured South Africa.

Previously HH announced Michael Dawson’s deal first with Under Armour HERE.

I think some of the players though last night was an exhibition match

Won’t be going to that tour! Sounds like a load of old flannel! (Jersey?)

When everyone’s fit and playing in their proper places, we’re the fucking business.

Problems start when one or two key players are out. At the end of the last thread, someone pointed out that, as a club, there is no pattern, or system of play. Players come in and appear clueless about what they should be doing.

Our game is too reliant on the pace of Bale and Lennon. We are literally winging it. Crazy thing is, that Bale has now been taken off the wing and been given the licence to be as aimless as the rest of them.

No like headless chicken play….. :-(

Which is what made Arry’s transfer window comments so baffling. “If I got players in where would I play ’em?”
Answer: On the naffing wing when Bale and Blud aren’t playing. At centre half when Ledley and William are crocked (i.e. most of the time).

It is extraordinary that a man demanding such broad support for his achievements reveals endlessly he hasn’t got the foggiest what’s going on.

Look Harry Redknapp gets a bit of stick from time to time, but isn’t it possible knowing as we now do that he has problems with his letters and numbers, that he actually meant to open the Monaco a/c in his own name but got the letters mixed up? Perhaps the vet knows his dogs as Sandra and Louis.

We are a fickle lot,Wilson got a lot of bad press on these pages,as is Pienaar and other up and coming players who should at least be given a chance. We ain’t ever gonna have 25 stars waiting for a chance. We ain’t got City’s money, thank God.

I heard rumblings about this the other day. Hoping for another west coast tour for Spurs!

  • Spurstacus says:
