Good evening Streetfighters.
Edmund Honda here. Whoever told me that marinated lamb ribs and ice cold imported beer aren’t fattening will soon be in receipt of a rather stiff letter. I digress.
This just in from am eagle eyed reader CoPierTonEr which frankly scans like a made up name if you ask me.
The waters have broken and Spurs have delivered their first born into this transfer window’s done cot.
His name? Joey James Iversen.
The catch? Well he’s 6 years old. Full dreadful story HERE But ‘Mom’ Anna Iversen has high hopes. In fact she is hopeful he can progress into our Acadamy (which I thought we had disbanded) as he is, ‘a natural striker’.
She continued, ‘When playing with peers, boys, do not get the second loan the ball. His team win 5-0, and he scored all the goals. Therefore, he plays mostly with older boys. Joey is high for his age, and muscular. He’s a football player’s physique, and the same powerful legs that her father, she grins.’
I feel unwell. Anyone got any donuts?
i wonder if redknapp will treat us to the now customary interview through a vehicle window tomorrow? Do prison vans even have windows?
First of all his last name is IVERSEN! and second he is Steffen Iversen (former Spurs) son…..
We know all this.
Christ I love the Internet :face:
Naa na na na na! poopbum!
Harry you git. You’ve done it again, gone and removed the post that I replied to. Now it looks like the comment of a mentalist.Git!
Apologies, mate. Spelling mistakes blown up as crimes against humanity get the old ‘spam’ button.
Pwopa wolling awound laughing.
Thanks Spur, I’m feeling good now.
Considering that Steffen’s dad, Odd (not a joke, that’s his name), was twice the player his son is/was, the trend is not promising. He was also twice the boozer Steffen is (and he’s a thirsty bugger, take my word).
It’s the son of Steffen IversEn (fact).
So the defense seems to be the payment to Harry was a gift from a pal (unsure what this means for UK gift tax purposes):
Asked about payments sent to the Monaco account, he added: “I want to do something special for Harry because he means more to me than a football manager. This was something as a friend.”
The £189,000 payments were “something entirely different”, he added.
“If this was something to do with employment, I would have done something entirely different,” Mandaric said.
“This is entirely my voluntary thanks without contract. Something special for my friend from football into friendship territory. That’s all I wanted to do.”
He added: “I want to make it absolutely clear that it was completely away from his duties, his bonuses, his salaries… It has nothing to do with it. It is an entirely different subject.”
wot a nice friend arry has got! :daumen:
You can be assured they’re not mates now. Redknapp’s defence is based on exactly the opposite.
And one who has fak all understanding of HMRC – we should bring back the death penalty for idiots like this.
‘My friend, my friend…’ Sounds like some idiot beggar on the tube.
Good to see the fit & proper persons deal is being enforced so religiously.
@seattle
(unsure what this means for UK gift tax purposes)
The gift is tax free, subject to the donor not dying within seven years of the gift. If they die within that time frame ‘Death Duties’ are payable on a sliding scale depending on the size of the donor’s estate, and how far short of the seven years the death was.
@Spurred, just wondering who would be responsible for any gift tax on such a transfer. It differs quite a bit from country to country.
This whole ‘gift’ story is bollocks. Even Redknapp has had the sense to deny it. Those two will be at war by week’s end.
@seattle.
In the Uk, if the gift is made as a legacy, the Taxman gets his slice first. If it’s been paid already and the benefactor dies in the qualifying period, the recipient is now liable for any tax due.
I heard its Olaf the Hairy’s boy.
Hagar the Horrible?
Roth the Diamond-Tastic?
Chivonne the Diabolical?
Ivan the carpet fitter even. The Norse come from a wild and lonely place.
