Bon soir.

Except it isn’t ‘bon’ is it? Fakinel.

And we genuinely ought to look at why we find ourselves having been thumped by them. Because thumped we were. We were winning 2-0. We looked like a home side that was assured about it’s business.  Then we collapsed.

The half time whistle was an opportunity for us to regroup, rethink and restore. What we got in reality was a half cocked exercise in damage limitation and a fundamental lack of scope and imagination.

Elsewhere…the days of Bale listening to his naffin’ agent and thinking he’s Wales’ valley’s answer to Ronaldo are over. It’s a mess. It doesn’t work. It needs to be stopped. Today we lacked width and it really cost us. Really hurt us. The reality is his behaviour cost us. That son of a bitch needs to be tamed/managed for once and for all.

And Lennon. If Azza was on the bench …er, then why?

Elsewhere another lesson was learnt. Ledley King is done. To presume we can mount a challenge in the Barclays Premiership without a full on back four is surreal. I respect Ledley immensely but nect term we need to shop for a ‘another’ replacement.

I’m depressed by today because of all my words prior to the match the most chilling now are that it was ours to throw away. The come back by Arsenal up until half time was down to spirit and courage. Our collapse in the second half was down to Redschnapps.

Where was the width (that’s what she said).  Where was the wit and imagination? I have been blasted for having a pop at Arry in this incredibly successful season, but can any of you tell me he genuinely got today right?

Arry has indeed worked his magic at Tottenham and I’m hugely appreciative. But I don’t have any sacred cows. Today was a monumental clusterfeck tactically and whilst I could put conceding 2 in the first half down to their ‘enthusiasm’, conceding another 3 in the second half points towards incompetence.

after everyone started telling bale how good he is, he has been awerage at best. he needs to start playing like he can. bae was awful today, we need a new left-back, that is consistent, not great one game and the worst the next. and kaboul was bad today. but i think redknapp was-is and will always be out of his depth. after that amazing run of games, our collecting tally in points is not that good. we have like 4victoryes the last ten? what is great about that. we need to make changes, the attitude to some of the players are appaling!!!!!!!

Thanks Mus. I too am incandescent with this clusterfuck result. No width. No midfield as Parker and Modric both were carrying early yellows. Sandro is a bully to the opposing players but not bullying midfield. Sloppy clearances from defence that went over midfield but not to any forwards. The ONLY positive is if this galvanises our need for third… Oh and Harry is a good arm round the shoulder manager but when that stops working he’s got nothing else in his locker, and for most games that’s all he needs but at the top table you need more…

Bang on lose the attitude, i am sick of players coming out saying we are this that and the other, Redknapp for all his man management surely thinks tactics are little minty things that come in a plastic container, how on earth can you play Krankjar in a full blooded NLD, while Lennon sits on the bench, it totally limited our Sub options. And i sadly agree with HH, Ledley has run out of luck with getting away with the injuries and not training, i dont want him to be exposed like that. Also for weeks i have been screaming for Bale to keep on the left, it was a nice one off especially away to Norwich and a couple of other games, but your the best left winger in the country keep proving it. so fuking angry.

What fecks me off most about this bollocks is tactical naivety. I didn’t agree with line up, as the best eleven who got us to this position consists of Lennon and VDV, both on the bench. But, being 2-0 up, I started to change my mind. Arsenal come back by half time due to their enthusiasm as you mentioned. However, their defense were shocking whenever we attacked in the first half. All Arry needs to do is replace Kranjcar with Lennon, and Saha with VDV. Balance things out, negate their superiority in the middle, because they started to dominate the centre, vdv would drop deed and help out Modric and parker, Lennon would exploit the space. Instead, he puts on Sandro, dont know what the feck VDV was doing, or what his position was. Sandro wasn’t exactly staying back and holding! We lost our shape and got ripped to shreds. Embarrassing defeat. Ledley King reads the game better than most, and is still good in the tackle, but if there’s space behind him, he cannot run back anymore, can’t cover the ground, hence Walcott having a field day in the second half!
