Good afternoon.

Ryan ‘Half’ Nelson then. 34 years of age and the burning question of the day has to be, ‘ eh? ‘ Easy I guess to knock him. Let’s face it, many of us didn’t see PNB working, but this strikes me as ambitious beyond belief.

Bassong on loan I get. He’s worth pursuing to see if his potential can ‘unlocked’. That makes sense. But to replace him with an injury prone gentleman… don’t we already have those spots covered?

I managed to find this radio interview with 3News.co.nz Which you can hear HERE

Watch the all blacks play, guy has the same heart. Unfortunately we seem not to breed to many in the uk now.

  • Chrispurs says:

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, Arry, likes an old’en.

  • Razspur says:

I have to ask. Are we running a football club or an old folks home. We seem to be snapping up every available coffin dodger in the country. It`s not really offset by signing a 6 year old.

No RB cover is my biggest concern and if Bale goes lame we are in deep do do.

worst window business since we traded berbatwat & keane

saha – talented player at his peak but 33 years old, extremely injury prone and currently in a torres style scoring slump

nelson – talented player at his peak but 34 years old, extremely injury prone and hasn’t played 90 mins for 8 months

positives – pienaar (J**** mk 11) gone makes space for krankie, hudds nearly fit, sandros back

hope selling crazing paving doesn’t backfire on us, we need to buy a striker or two quickly, we’re also looking for trouble with little back up at full back

    • Harry Hotspur says:

Totally agree. Levy targets didn’t happen and we ended up with sweepings off the factory floor.

Horse trading with the likes of Peanut, Nelson, Saha etc is mind bogglingly pointless.

      • jfdit says:

saha if he’s fit ‘could’ be a coup, sweet left foot and gets most of his goals from outside the area

I wasn’t expecting messi or ronaldo but jarvis (wolves) or dyer (swansea) wouldn’t have been bad back up players to bring in for final push. likewise alex from chelsea or onuoha from city would have given us options at the back

I’m looking at June/July and thinking if we can’t sign barndoor we’re back where we were four years ago – frazier campbell anyone?

    • TMWNN says:

Apart from offing the Russian, couldn’t agree more.

There was an air of apathy around the transfer window. It’s as though people are now trying to convince themselves (and others) that the window was actually a success.

Given the circumstances, their misplaced contentment is understandable to a degree, but we’re only a handful of points off top spot ffs!

      Saha and Nelson? Meh!

      • jfdit says:

levy’s approach to our transfer business rarely bears fruit, our success this season only occurred because he finally listened to the manager, we’re so close but could easily end up out of the top 5 within a month if key players don’t stay fit.

Out of interest when has approaching clubs with low ball offers for their best players with a few hours to go ever paid off?

only seems to work when the other club owes us a lot of money
