Two Out, One in…

Help yourself to a Slow News Day warning from Reception.

The David Bentley saga rumbles onwards sidewards . Having miserably failed to live up to even the most meager of expectations for Spurs, he wandered off to West Ham and got injured possibly without even kicking a ball. I can’t tell you for sure such was my wholehearted lack of interest.

Rob Segal, Mr Bentley’s agent told MLS Soccer.com,

“This is something that is really interesting for David, as it will also get him fit through the summer, he would like to go there on loan as soon as possible.”

Yeah I bet he would. The world’s finally turned on it’s head hasn’t it? Imagine the equivalent of this in the ‘real’ world’ for just a moment. Your boss calls you into his office and says you need to up your game. You’re not hitting your targets. So instead of threatening you with being performance managed out the side door with bin bag containing your personal effects, he instead suggests you accept a transfer from the Haringey office to the one in Beverley Hills.

Elsewhere Dances With Scones looks like he’s going to be out for even longer than initially anticipated with Goal.com reporting the threat of a second bout of surgery. Gout is not our friend.

And thank the sweet merciful lord we’ve finally secured the signature of Bruno Uvini. The Sao Paulo 19 year old centre back announced the lease/purchase deal on the Sao Paolo site

“It’s a great opportunity that arose and could not pass up. It had been a time we were talking and Tottenham are a big club, with worldwide exposure, and has asked me to introduce me.

Will be three months for me to adapt to English football, the club and culture. I have a great professional and personal growth with this choice”.

Chuffed about Bruno – really like him on Strictly. Bit small for a centre half though don’t you think?

He is nearly six foot two and could squeeze the extra inch out in the next two years he jumps like a salmon. Also he is built like a rugby player 13-7 and very fast Looks like a young Maldini with his Italian roots. Crouch was 6ft7 and jumped 5ft6

Gutted, BIG TOM is gonna be out even longer. Surely if he keeps his promise, the guys gonna look like Bob Marley by the time he scores his next goal!!

Also good point on Bentley, surely we could play him just to take corners!! I cannot honestly believe at this level we never seem to get it past the first man! You can tell they have been (poorly) working on it in training because I saw Luka get it over twice in a recent game (out of about 5 or 6)…can you believe both turned into good chances for KABOOM to score….imaine if like the big kids, we could take proper corners more often!

Reports that the Brummies want Broadway Danny on loan. That would be madness. We’re down to the BARE BONES already. And then there’s the Cup and possible injuries. This cannot happen.
    Can it?

Uvini looks promising from videos… looks he can tackle great without fouling… ideal, considering we have three injury-prone CBs now well into their 30s.. can see him learn the English game just watching Ledley this run-in.

Brazilian centre backs…. bit like their goalies I fear. Side Show Bob anyone?

David Bentley/David Beckham, both right midfielders, both from Landon taan, both going to the promised land in search of riches and are both noted for appearing on TV releasing smells.
