Defoe has completely earned the right to play and so what ever the deal is with Saha, he gets benched. The real problem with the absence of Azza and the ‘automatic’ lack of width it will provoke. Modric on the wing is a waste, but would vdV have the self control to stay wide?
Speaking of self control, it’ll be interesting to see what tactics Bale and his agent opt for. How I would love to see a banner saying, ‘Stay On The Wing!’ in the Away End.

I have been a passionate Spur since childhood, i`ve watched amazing football, even this season and totally uninspiring crap.
Like many others i believed this season was to be exceptional (believed it for over 5 months) and we would qualify easily for CL with a 3rd place finish.
I should have known better, take last year, from the end of Feb we were pathetic. Last season i was proven to be a fool but to aspire for so much this season just proves that i am not a fool, i am a f*cking idiot and ever since Defoe missed in the last minute against City my faith in the team has turned to disbelief and despair. The Pain.
