Well my insistence that the manager is to blame has had a mixed reception!

What’s more of a minor worry is the fact that some can’t grasp if one appreciates some facets of a manager one can still loathe others. Look, I know I’m bipolar but put huge effort into that.

It would be truly great if those who start squawking about the good that Arry had done and how bad things were under so and so could actually embrace that this is online, not at The Lane so we can all speak freely? We ‘lost’ a 10 point lead…

And so them wot wore the Lilywhite then…

7.900 Mnnn… being untested doesn’t lose you points..

8.000 Perhaps a corker. Looked bloody lively.

8.000 Every time he does anything whatsoever I find myself shouting, ‘Go on then, my son!’

8.000 Sound as the proverbial pound.

7.000 Good against their iffy attacks. Iffy when moving forward.

9.000 I love him. He’s my un-secret love. The N17 Enforcer only misplaced 7 out of his 108 passes. Geezer Extremis That is your actual Latin, that is.

7.000 He made a fist of it. Not beating the guy up, but it was a Second Class ticket performance. Looked insanely nervous moving forward.

7.000 Sunderland boxed him in, but surely a decent manager would have done something to, ‘set free ‘ a £40M rated player?

5.000 You’re a self indulgent cockeral so please just pack it in. You cockeral.

7.000 Why the hell wasn’t he deployed far far sooner? Are we allowed to ask?

8.000 This is our guy. The Dutch fella. He’s as inventive as hell. You build a team around men like this.

6.500 Tough day at the office. His first touch was suspect and he had less supply than a restaurant with Health & Safety notice served on it.

Arry out followed by Bale on the left……followed by happy days.

Evening H. What chance Redschnapps losing top four, not getting the Ingerland gig and we sack him?

      Far out man! :daumen:

Please read your columns from 4 years ago. You had a clear head and did not react in a knee jerk reaction. Get rid of harry because of an away draw and get who and do what?

It’s a bit embarassing tbh. I remember Ramon Vega and Andy Booth.

This team is the best i’ve seen and if you don’t get that, go away.

You ask me to review how I felt 4 years ago, then you tell me this team is better.

Not being cute, but any chance you might clarify your point there? :dizzy:

It’s more about balance of opinion. When I started reading your work, I felt that you understood that a bad result didn’t mean the the team/manager was necessarily bad. Now it seems that you’re not keen on harry and you can’t even enjoy a win. Some of our results have been poor but i don’t think Saturday was one of them, but it is easy to beat the manager because of it.

It’s just a shame because I can see us losing harry and then, be careful what you wish for.

          Misanthrope,

I understand your concerns and so I hope you understand mine.

Read my thoughts on the Chealsea draw…

I’m not keen on him screwing up. I presume too much by thinking that?

What was this the win I failed to enjoy? Name it and I’ll mail you a live hedgehog in an tiger skin lined box pulled by a team of bi curious badgers.

          I wish for success.

          What do you do?

Hardly a knee jerk to an away draw if we are honest with ourselves. My mate Vinnie only has 3 fingers on his left hand and he’d have no trouble counting up the games we’ve played well since early December

Harry’s doing a triffic job and I don’t want to knock him off his stride by adding more duties, so I think Levy should really look to hire someone who can devote some attention to motivating the players, developing their confidence, working out a good balance based on the talent avaiable and working out matchups and strategies for when we play games against other teams.

no team, none plays well all season. The league table looks ok to me, which is testament to a really good autumn. Can I ask what is expected?

Can I ask what is expected?

        Of course.
At a very bare minimum, no idiocy.

This is such a simple game. Even I understand it :-) Bale or whoever do what they are told, as directed by a competent manager.

        • Misanthrope says:

in reply to both, it is a feeling that Bale/Walker will get a bit of a grilling no matter what. The Bale thing is frustrating, but if he can pull defenders around, it’s a decent tactic and has probably helped him not get a broken leg.

I’m not a massive fan of that or plenty of things that harry has done, but I don’t have a blog and these thing have an influence, and its especially easy to get a negative vibe in a team/club.

Nothing gets judged till the end of the season and if we blow cl, then harry deserves what he gets, but to really have a pop now is not helping the fans/team imo.

Hey, it’s your site, but I’ve never been a booer of my own team, I just don’t think it helps

          Re: Misanthrope

100% nodding in agreement. It’s the fickle, inconsistency from week to week that grates. We win a game and everything is fine, we draw one and it’s time to sack the manager again.

Sacking the manager has not been an option for any genuine consideration ALL SEASON, so please give up or think of something else to say.

Fucking up a 10 point lead over, of all mobs, the scum, looks o.k to you does it?

It’s fills me with equal amounts of rage and despair. How long ago was it when we last finished above those red & white scumbags?

    • 39 39 39 says:

Interesting point….But, errr isn’t that what trouty is supposed to be paid for?

      :hae:

He gets up at 5am (allegedly) then drives up to Hertfordshire for his full english and a cuppa…probably has a kip, then holds a press conference rehearsal with the (‘)’s Levy already employs to motivate, etc etc!

      • SerfCity says:

Harry’s like the having the boss’s son at your work. Criticizing him is only going to cause you grief, so its up to everyone else to do his job for him and make sure he looks good. Unlike the boss’s son who has the good sense to take long lunches and golf at every opportunity, Harry has a bad habit of showing up during at inopportune times such as teams selections and, err games.
