I was diagnosed in a full an fair debate earlier in the season as the type of supporter that ought to be behind glass in a museum. I was brought up with our lot occasionally holding up cups. I like ’em. All shiny and nice.
But times have changed. The Europa with it’s endless games is like adding half a season to your campaign and the financial rewards a mixed bag. The domestic cups have lost their sparkle too. The Champions League is by so far ‘The Daddy’ that for many it’s even surpassed the World Cup as a the must see competition.
And now we sit poised for Champions League qualification. And I use the word poised like you would about a kid standing in the middle of a see saw, was poised. Balanced on the brink rather than ready to pounce if you see my distinction.
So a simple poll. If we fail to secure a Champions League qualifying spot, should Arry go? By fail, I mean just that. The manner is irrelevant. If the Blue Racists deny us by beating by beating Bayern or we achieve 5th or worse, it’s all the same.

Yes I think we’d all have been tempted to handle men’s tackle gently and with fondness if at the start of the season someone had said “it’ll get you 4th place”.
But in January, and even in Feb after the Man City defeat and we bounced back against Newcastle I thought ” 4th? – we’ll get 3rd , maybe even edge 2nd”. Next year we’ll be millionaires Rodders!
Since then we’ve shown – from the manager predominantly, but also some prima donnas – that, to paraphrase Jack Nicholson – “Success…you couldn’t handle success”.
Success is about management and getting it done through the good AND
bad bits. Arry said ‘my only focus is Tottenham ‘ and then couldn’t shut the fack up about anything else anyone cared to mention.What we got was “I can’t read and write”, ” Who wouldn’t want the England job”, “I’d pick Scholes”, ” Chelsea are top top hope they win the CL” blah blah blah.
The rational side of my brain says ..yep he’s done a pretty good job, results and football style-wise, compared to his predecessors over the past 20 years. The side of my brain that wants quality, status, style, silverware, intelligence ( Forest 0 Spurs 3 – Reporter: “Spurs played with an arrogance bordering on the dilletante…which is exactly how a Tottenham team should play”) – it wants to see us compete as one of the ‘top 4’ (believe it or not for the first 30 years of my footballing life Spurs were always considered one of The Big Five).
Arry Redknapp may get you 4th this year – I’ll be chuffed to buggery if we do it – but I’m still gonna have a part of me that says – we should have done better. Never satisfied? Neither was Bill Nicholson…”which is exactly how a Tottenham manager should be”.

Did all of you notice, that we seem to play better without Parker…let Parker go, keep Harry! The players are loyal to him and ,most are in team, because of him. If he goes, key players will go as well. Parker was taught how to play football, he does not have a footballing mind, he plays it to the book. That’s not football!!!

I think Parker’s had a good season overall but I must admit he’s frustraing at times — actually slows us down! He’s a bit Mr Sideways.
But Sandro was Mr T against Blackburn… just superb. If Kyle hadn’t scored his “Oh my God!” goal, Sandro would’ve been man of the match. He kicks ass in the dressing room AND on the pitch! Keep playing like that Sandro and you can’t be left out.
