Good morning pop pickers.

And the hits just keep on coming. The Loic Remy piece of yesterday appears to have legs as a French journo, Matt Spiro who writes for Ligue.1.com has revealed that…

Marseille have told Loic Remy to cancel his planned visit to Spurs’ training ground this week. They want to agree fee with #THFC first

This positively reaffirms the idea that we are ‘properly’ in for the player, but it also rather comically might indicate that they’ve just found out who our chairman is and want to get all the money side of things nailed before their boy starts choosing this coat peg.

Elsewhere, if you haven’t seen it then the Blackburn boss is the unwitting star of a covertly shot mobile phone video that is said to have been shot in a bar in Hong Kong while Rovers were doing their preseason. The clip is here. The interesting bit is where he’s asked about Sam Allardyche. He swiftly repsonds, “Because he’s a f*cking crook.”

Is there a version of the Blackburn video in English?

    From the grauniad’s website today:

“Emmanuel Adebayor was the season’s most prolific offender in that regard [number of offsides], reclaiming a crown that he previously won in 2008 and succeeding last year’s most regular transgressor, Jermain Defoe, another two-times winner.”

Defoe geting slated for being offside is absolutely fair. He has a long history of ruining chances in that manner (although I feel he was better this year than previously – it’s impossible to conclude definitively based on relatively few appearances).

Why is Adeboy not also criticised for this? I’m not saying he’s bad, I want to keep him for sure. Just asking why the average spurs-fan-in-the-street is so willing to ignore this weakness in his game, when they are so eager to pounce on Defoe for the same thing?

Have only seen bits on Youtube. Main thing is ..how good is his hold up play? Is he technical or just another musclebound sprinter. If Ade goes which is quite likely we really need someone good with their back to goal, technically efficient and can bring other players in play. If he had the hold up skills of say a Barbatov, it would be perfect!! COYS – COBayern!!!!!

By the way, someone mentioned cover or even replacement for Lennon. Adam Johnson anyone!!.Better footballer, good engine, good football brain and can score goals. With Hazard coming in, Adam would struggle even more to get games.

He’s been mentioned on here before and gets my vote. Also, he can play on the left or the right too so it’s a double bonus!
