Emiliano Viviano Gets Villas Boas Approval Say The Italians

Good morning.

The names in today’s frame are a very mixed bag and you can’t help but wonder if the Villas-Boas feel good factor has got the hacks more inclined to include us in their fact packed features.

M’Baye Niang is a striker described by the Daily Mail as ‘powerful’. He’s been on loan with the Woolwich Wanderers and they are suggesting that we, as well as City are considering offering him a similar deal. Seventeen and never been kissed, I think we’ll pass if it’s all the same.

Carlo is supposed to be off to Watford which automatically asks questions about the pecking order of the existing lads. In all the considerable ‘ITK’ and second guessing flying about t…he name of Gomes has been remarkably absent.

He must be on half decent money and you have to wonder if Villas-Boas is preparing to resurrect the old girl. Yes, we know he lost his bottle, but we can as confidently say that Arry & Co. didn’t try and help him find it again.

The answer to the riddle may just be sticks meister Emiliano Viviano according to TuttumercatoWeb. The 26-year-old played for Palermo last season, but is co-owned by Inter Milan.

Is he any good? He made his debut for Italy in September 2010 and established himself as the Azzurri’s second choice behind some bloke called Gianluigi Buffon

And last up it has to be said that Under Armour have produced a good looking kit, but why have they made such a fist of the launch?

THFC were supposed to have a week of exclusive selling, yet there seems to only be bits and pieces on offer. A jacket? A couple of polo tops and a hoodie? And why can’t we order from the Under Armour site where there’s free shipping?

his name rhymes…would make for some nice terrace chants..but no thanks all the same.

  • Sky Sports News Reporter says:

Spurs are in negotiations with Chelsea to sign John terry for an undisclosed fee! I say we should use Ledleys song for Terry. O terry terry, you slept with your best friends girl, your a racist and a scum bag, o terry terry! What do you all think to this news!? Great huh! Terry’s becoming a spur!

  • bill says:

i read an article last week when avb said he was happy with the goal keeper option he had at the club so maybe gomes is gonna get another chance

    • Sky Sports News Reporter says:

John terry should be our keeper

    • superspurs says:

AVB’s not going to come in and say ” Gomes, Carlo and Brad are shit” “were fucked unless we buy a new keeper” is he? of course he’s going to praise the players and the sqaud as a whole because he wants everyone to want to be there. Behind the scenes he has to be preparing a bid for a new number 1. Would love to see Vorm come in, think he could be the answer!

      • Anthony In That Number says:

Agree Vorm would be a terrific choice as would Tim Krul. Both know what the Premier League is all about and were excellent last season.

        • Jol 5:5 says:

Agree all the way here. Krul first choice – closely followed by Vorm. Much more likely to be a success ahead of any keeper arriving from Spain, France, Italy.
What about a cheeky bid for the Man U second choice – Danish bloke?

  • Ronyid says:

The reason for the U.A fiasco is down to last season’s on line ordering. Spurs lost soooo much money when the last kit whent out. so this time they have decided right or wrong to send it out in stages and only in store, this way they control the flow of sale and get every penny. to many other companies made to much on the back of Spurs last time and D.L was not happy so we now have the situ we have now.

    • superspurs says:

But its not a new thing, Spurs Online shop has been shit for fucking years. I remember ordering the Puma Brown Shirt and it took 8 days from day of order to the point they dispatched it.

We are a fucking joke club and Levy should sack EVERYONE that works in our Online Store team as well as the marketing and PR dept and start again.

How is it we take soooooooooooooooooooooooooo long to even show our fans the kit let alone sell it?!?!

How is it the rest of the top 6 clubs in the league manage to get there kits out and in ALL stores not only in the UK but around the world within a few weeks of unveailing it??? yet we manage to fuck up the launch EVERY season without fail.

Last year the home kit never came out until AFTER the season started… Man Utd was out 6 weeks afetr the previous season ended! they maybe a bunch of dirty manc cunts but at least there online store isn’t run buy Sandra Redknapp and Rosie from there home in Sand Banks!

We can buy all the players in the world but if were shit at promoting the brand were royally fucked!

I know if i worked at Spurs online i would hang my head in shame for how bad a job they do.

      Rant nearly over…

the online store is a shit design as well! who the fuck designed it? Stevie Cunting Wonder!!?? its slow, ugly and flows wrong. not only that but Friday morning the site crashed and froze with a few thousand people on it, why the hell did it do that? sites around the world have more traffic driven through them then we did in that tiny time period and they manage to stay online and not hang!!

Grrrr! fucking Spurs Online its Gong Show!

I wouldn’t mind if i lived local enough to pop into a store but as i dont i have to rely on that shit site and there fucking useless staff

      • Ronyid says:

I totaly agree with you superspurs and don’t forget that OUR badge peeled off as well!!!! who came up with that one!!!! a transfer badge!! ffs! We need to get this sorted and sorted out quick. We would have more money if the shirt came out as soon as the window opens that way Spur have the money for players and we get OUR shirt before the season starts everyone happy!

        • superspurs says:

Yep and there answer? send them back BY POST and they would iron on another badge and POST back! fucking mess.

Yep we would generate more income the longer the shirt was on sale and the more outlets selling it. Having it online and in a couple of stores in London 2 months after everyone else brings a kit out is not going to make us the most money as a club.

I read on UA UK’s twitter that the shirt was on sale 13th July on Spurs website and UA’s website.. yet low and behold that tweet has now been deleted and still only for sale on our website! to be fair i did order it Friday and recieved it Saturday morning but i had to pay £45 for the shirt and another £9.99 for postage.

I’m glad its not just me thats pissed off with the clubs policy of Marketing/PR and the online nonsense!

Also why the fuck do we have to wait until the week of the 1st game of the season to get squad numbers? if i wanted to buy a Spurs shirt and have a player name/number on the back why can they not get this done now? i understand say Modric wont be there so 14 will go elsewhere etc. but surely the new boys have there numbers? surely the current squad know there number? its not like we are going to sign Ade give him Number 10 then 2 weeks later buy Messi and give him 10 is it? fuck even if we did i would happily buy 2 shirts to fund the fucking sale!

its little things like this that show our flaws and how small club mentality we have.

Time to step this up and prepair for the brave new world AVB is going to bring to us!

Also on another note assume we only have 1 sponsor this year for all? i hope so because i would be pissed off paying £45 for the beautiful new shirt, which by the way is ruined by that 1990’s bullshit logo and font on the front, only to find out i could have it with the better smaller Investec logo on!

      • Yidfield General says:

Couldn’t agree more. Continually ripped off by this club yet cannot see how it could possibly make them more money!

I stopped buying the shirts a couple of years ago as I got fed up with only having the useless online shop as an option. Several years ago I could shop around and save a few quid but THFC have cut that option out. Now our shirts only tend to come out in sports shops etc when they’re old hat and on clearance!!

It probably sounds a bit petty but when you walk into one of the big sports chain stores and see The Manc clubs shirts, the bindippers, The Russians and the Woolwich scum shirts all together our absence makes it feel like we are still not considered an elite club.

I like the new shirts but will not be buying one until I have a choice of places to buy one from.

        COYS

        • superspurs says:

At least with Puma the shirts came out at Spurs on the Friday and only at THFC and then 99.9% of the time were in all sports shops the next day up and down the country but yes being forced to be able to buy only online or in club shop is hurting us in terms of being a big club. I work in Winchester and only sports shop is a JJB… went in there the other day to get some astro boots and all they had was the manc teams, liverpool chelsea and the Arse shirts. Asked the bloke in there when they would have our shirt and he looked at me like i asked him the square root of 9 million.. he checked the computer and said… “its no on there” so i said never.. and he said “well not never but not until 2013 at least” why?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

We were in all sports shops before the internet so why become stupid and greedy now?

Give me 1 season in charge of PR/Marketing and i would have us in the top 5 of world clubs on that level! not on the same level as Peterborough!!!!!

      • Teddyboy says:

Must say that i agree 100%, absolutely appaling online presence of the club, absolutely appaling presence of club products in shops/stores anywhere, not really coherent in any way. Not marketed to the max anyway, but also not ideal for us (supporters).

      • Thepin says:

…and for that reason, I’m out!

  • superspurs says:

cant be that hot a keeper if Inter go and bring in that guy from Udinese instead of buying the other 50% of Viviano’s contract out and taking him back.

    • Josh says:

The guy from Udinese you’re referring to is Samir Handanovic, unfortunately he’s just joined Inter Milan, that’s why we’re being linked with Julio Cesar and Emiliano Viviano, they need to shift another senior keeper.

    • Josh says:

sorry, mis-read your comment, ignore that haha
