A Lightning Poll On The Norwich Game – Vote Now!

Good evening.

The issue of the moment really does appear to be that of booing.  Oh yes, you can always rely upon me to have my finger on the pulse. Don’t you worry about that. I’m blessed with the vision of a hawk, the flighty mental agility of Sapphire & Steel.

To boo or not to boo?

The case from the defence counsel: Negativity in the workplace ain’t no good. It spreads like a poison and with an equally ‘orrible effect. If a reader can point to just a single example whereby anyone ever raised their game in any environment by being booed then us know. To paraphrase the old Monty Python line, ‘Boo some sense into ‘im!’

Booing your own is counter productive. Home fans booing is sabotage, they should sit in the away end.

The case from the prosecuting counsel: Depriving people of free speech isn’t on. These days fans are called ‘customer reference numbers and so why shouldn’t they be simply allowed to voice their dissatisfaction as customers? If a business doesn’t listen to it’s customers then surely it’s screwed.

I boo to let all concerned know that I’m not happy.

“fans” who boo are negative people, life is full of negative people; its life. On another note IGNORE the “we came close to Moutinho” its bollox. Mou was in Portugal all day friday and boarded a plane with Porto for a game Saturday. We did NOT bid for him friday. Sky crap aided by rags.

    • LLL says:

And also aided by AVB himself then? He, after all, confirmed that we were minutes from having it done only for it to fall away via ‘complications’.

Which would you rather believe? That we are spreading a lie about trying to sign a decent Modric replacement to placate fans, or that we came close to signing a decent Modric replacement but came unstuck at the deadline?

Hate that this debate is becoming a smokescreen to hide our shocking home performances. I didn’t personally boo the team, but I have no right to tell others how they choose to “support” the club.

I’m personally going to get behind AVB and the team, but I have a sad feeling he will be out by christmas. In the meantime, LIVERMORE OUT (of the first team).

    • Clarkspur says:

For sure, Jake might come good but at the moment he’s not good enough. AVB made things worse by starting with 2 defensive midfielders when 1 or none will do.

A home to Norwich we could have started with 2 box to box centre mids and an attacking 1 in front. Bring on one defensive midfielder to sure up a lead.

Instead we’re fielding a formation that has 6 defenders sitting deep, two wide men hoping the ball will make it half the pitch out to them, a roaming midfielder who roams all alone and Defoe running in circles like a jack russell chasing his own tail.

Most modern teams/coaches are implementing a team that holds the midfield and tries to get it playing most of its football in the attacking third. We seem to be fielding mainly defenders and playing all our football in our own half…I don’t get it.

……..and we couldn’t defend, regardless of booing, cheering and crying and being early in AVB tenure, its very worrying……

    • BrisbaneSpur says:

HH IS using the booing thing as a smoke screen as he has been harping on that AVB is a genius etc etc etc all summer…. It is early and the jury is still out and will be until christmas, but any supporter (even the “great” HH himself (even is a little self declared!)) has to be concearned as the performance against Norwich was utterly woeful at best….

People have to ask themselves if (on paper) IF EVERY one of our players would get (or walk) in the Norwich team (that’s all 11), how could we not at AT THE VERY LEAST DOMINATE at home with a manager with ‘such qualities and who is a genius tactician’….

      EARLY – YES (VERY)
BOO’ING – THEY QUITE FRANKLY DESERVED EVRY VIBRATION OF VOICE BOX
      WORRYING – SH*T YES!!!!

Now I can agree with someone.Liverless has NO idea of how to actually make a FORWARD pass let alone a USEFUL one.

  • LLL says:

I don’t care about this trivial non-issue at all.

In spite of certain parties repeated attempts to make it so, I don’t believe this is the burning issue of the day at all. Our current shit football playing and shit tactics are a lot more concerning to me personally.

I had really hoped that Avb was actually going to learn from his mistakes this time round. As soon as we saw the team sheet, we kinda knew what was gonna happen. 2 defensive midfielders at home is criminal enough but Defoe on his own up front as well??? I was sat in the shelf bout row 7 and all I can say ws that I ws really surprised at how static (no movement) and underwhelmingly we played until Dembele came on. The team seems to be a bit like us fans – they just don’t believe in him yet… He has to prove himself to all of us and he simply hasn’t as of yet. I mean bale looked like he’d been asked to do something that he didnt think was gonna work and hence had a shit game… Yeah we’ll give him a chance but time is already ticking and he has to get his arse in gear ASAP if he is gonna win us over… We needed moutinho as now we don’t have that “quarterback” style player to launch attacks… Absolutely gutted about rafa, almost everything we have done well in the past couple of years have had something to do with him… We will sorely miss the way he came back to the halfway line to start off most of our attacking moves – yeah I know he wasn’t fit but nevertheless our most magical player by far and a massive loss especially with no moutinho…

      • Odd Ball says:

We needed moutinho as now we don’t have that “quarterback” style player to launch attacks…

        yea man, pass the spliff-

      • Clarkspur says:

He got the midfield all wrong, but there’s absolutely no excuse for the way most of the team were walking around. Pre-season we were charging about closing down the play. We were also moving like a team, with options for passes all the time.

I can only put it down to bad morale from the loss of players.

  • AllWhiteMark says:

Lets all just calm down and not panic….yet. The international break couldn’t have come at a better time for sure, get ade fit, integrate the goal scoring machine that is Clint Dempsey and let Dembele work more of his magic. Once that’s working lets judge the performances then. Oh and for chrissake give Caulker a run out.

  • Harry Hotspur says:

It’s all about Clint anyway http://youtu.be/xDWOduw-Rnc
