Good evening.

Well done,I say. Well done for sabotaging what AVB is all about. Well done for thinking that being on what, £20k, £30k, £40k actually impresses anyone?! Let me my darlings tell you… You no mark schmucks you are loathed. Hated. You wear our bloody shirt and the only time you sweat is when your salary is at threat.

Well done for summoning up the spirit of that preseason in the Republic Of Ireland under Martin Jol. You must recall that one, eh, Tommy? The game against St Pats? The manager of the Radisson that refused you ‘more drink!’ that night as you ran about the hotel younger players thinking you were really cool, the night before the game chasing bottles of wine…?

I’m not happy and I will be ‘having a look.’

Unfair but sadly predictable to single out Tom. He is a bit-part / reserve team player after all. There were plenty of first-teamers out there who were equally as lack-lustre, if not more so, than the unloved Hudd.

  • Azza's Eyebrow says:

Mr Lennon, calling Mr Lennon, Mr Lennon where are you? There’s a right wing and a football waiting for you, has anyone seen him? Little fella, back in the England squad. I’m sure he was listed in the starting line-up. Maybe Thudd ate him.

  • LLL says:

What let us down was a lack of cutting edge, which has been a theme of the majority of our games this season. We were embarrassingly better than Pan but how many chances did we actually create?

Dempsey doesn’t seem to be doing much, much the same as Sig wasn’t when he was playing there. Perhaps it’s the formation. Perhaps it’s having Defoe as a lone target. Perhaps it’s ineffectual wing play. Ideas?

One thing I wouldn’t do is blame Huddlestone. He was far from our worst player and he’s probably nursing some confidence issues so to scapegoat and gang up on him is the same as booing imo!

    • Cornerpin says:

No one is Ganging up on him. But he was shit tonight. Maybe AVB told him to sit deep?.We all no how good his ability is ffs.

      • LLL says:

A lot of people seem to think he is shit, full stop. Was he really any worse than Dempsey? Or Defoe? Or Walker? Or Vertonghen come to that?

      • LLL says:

I do think you are right that he was probably told to sit deep though. There was a moment when it was 1-1, just before his decent shot in fact, he won the ball and passed it to Lennon, then started running backwards to get back in position, when it was obvious he had to carry on with his run and support the attack, which thankfully he did do on that occasion, nearly scored.

Set up the goal as well.

Just saying, he wasn’t the worst player. Probably not even in the worst 5 players.

        • Hartley says:

Worst 5 players in order from worse to less worse……Defoe, Bale, Dempsey, Lennon, Dembele,….

        • essexian76 says:

No Lloris then Harts? or Walker..or Verts..or a general malaise maybe-I thought to a man,we were poor to average, but according to some a point was all we needed and that’s exactly what we got-as posted below, I couldn’t care less about the result, what I’m bothered about is Sunday’s game and the effects tonight’s game has on that. Now worried about any more injuries in an already increasing list to key players

        • Hartley says:

I think you had the same worries as the rest of the team, I dont think you can strain anything through light jogging or shit exhibition play…..if we have anyone out injured on Sunday as a result of last nights match I’ll show my arse from t’town hall clock….

        • essexian76 says:

Where, when, and make sure you’ve taken a decent camera

  • Hartley says:

It seems to me the only ones who didn’t get the statement ‘we are taking this competition seriously’ were the players……well, the ones who think they’re already world class winners with nothing to prove, Bale, Lennon, Huddlestone, Defoe etc.etc…

  • Ronnie says:

…atleast we dont have any reason to doubt AVB again when he sells Dawson to QPR and Hudd to Stoke. I dont know why nobody has noticed but Kyle Walker has been really poor recently. Kaboul/BAE should get well and take that right back position from him.

    • LLL says:

I think a lot of people have noticed Kyle being a bit ropey.

To be quite honest, I’ve never really understood the excitement with him. He’s quick, but can he defend? He’s fast, but can he attack?

    • Yid Vicious says:

Every Spurs fan I speak to says Walker has been very poor defensively this season. I don’t know who you’re speaking to but it can’t be people that have watched us regularly this season if none have said he’s been poor.
