Bad News For AVB Haters

Good morning.

This from a proven decent source and bound to irritate the hell out of the naysayers, bedwetters and other lingering Arryites. It’s my understanding that Andre Villas-Boas’ position at the club is very much secure. For how long? Well not just this season but the next one too.

This considerable support is conditional of course. If the boss were to be linked with a vacancy elsewhere and suddenly went missing, spent his day whoring himself to the press, neglecting his THFC duties or otherwise managed to drive us into the relegation zone then you can guarantee he’d be toast.

But the plan as I understand it is to factor in Boas’ resources, review what support the Club can offer and to forge a path that will offer longevity.

Will this initiative designed to offer stability please those that claim to wish Spurs well but not the manager? Who cares. At this rate QPR will be back in the Championship next season and there are bound to be openings for supporters who want to sit in cosy, old fashioned stadium telling each other how staunch they are.

The worst thing that happened in recent times to this club was Arry screwing us over so blatantly after giving us a taste of Champions League football. Suddenly too many clowns believe it’s a god given right and have been acting like outraged consumers ever since. Spoiled children each and every one. Empty seats at Europa games and only boos to break the frosty silence during league games.

The very idea that you can separate your support for the Club and the manager is beyond parody. Oh, of course unless you’re following the Blackburn Rovers model.

Until I see some flow to our game,AVB will be in the dock. When we get most of our players back there will be no excuses and then we can see if we do have a chance.
So far I havent seen much to be honest but if its AVB’s mind that is so astute and Levy is committed to more quality, then I am in but the results so far (not the scores) have not been impressive. Lets wait and see. I hang my hat on the quality of Tottenham. Not AVB.Not Levy.
I can only say ‘show me’ cos Im not listening any more.

Best news iv heard all day..

  • Bigozzie says:

HH…I’m with you on this, has to be given time. Modric was always going and we got Dembele who started well. Unfortunately we have too many key players out to judge AVB at this point. Yes we’ve lost 3 in a row, but two were away to last years top 3 so always going to be difficult games. Redknapp would be in exactly the same position with the players we’ve had available this year.

You can’t expect miracles, what AVB is trying to do is take us from a top 4-6 side to consistently being in the top 3, something we have never been, so why shouldn’t he be given a chance?

And the boos really piss me off. How is that helping anyone? its not like we’re hovering above the relegation zone..its just moronic football fans who think booing will vent the frustration at their mundane shitty lives..

    • JIM says:

LOL, top 3 !!!!! Holy crap, the dellusion bug is catching i see. Not a chance in hell mate. Seriosuly you need to wake up sunshine.

you are clearly stupid..if you actually read it without jumping to conclusions you would have noticed i said that is what AVB and the club are trying to do(no shame in that). I didn’t say we would do it..you are probably one of the fans that boos no doubt..

In my opinion we will be 5th/6th this year, which is absolutely acceptable when you consider the transition.

I think trying to revolutionize the club in order to be competetitive under limited resources was always going to be difficult.
We have to be careful financially-whist retaining a good youth set-up-It’s a hard balancing act, but one we have no option other than to support it. The plan was always going to take time-time, when we’ve been challanging for the past three seasons-it’s getting those who demand instant success to see what we are as a club, and where we stand.
Many are forgetting, we’ve not only had a change in manager-the whole back-room staff, team ethic and philosophy has changed as well, and 3 months in you cannot judge- and it’s simply not realistic to do so

  • EngNor says:

We as Tottenham supporters have been crying out for many a year for consistency in the managers dept, even the doom and glooms have been bitching on about it for years. Well, that time is upon us, like it or not. We are in a transitional period, players are tabled with injuries, the doom and glooms will just have to show some stiff upper lip, shut the KCUF up and get on with giving the guy His chance and support He deserves, the window of opportunity opens again in January. Here we will see what kind of road AVB will be taking. I know where my support lays.

    COYS!

And the kind of road the man with the cheque book will be taking.

    • Cornerpin says:

Levy never buys in jan window.Plus Who the feck is he goner buy anyway?? What top player would want to come to a club that is going through a “Transition Period”?? Whats the point of giving him 2 years, so he eventually finds his feet and realises that the loan striker and high system doesn’t work, in the mean time we just about avoid relegation and the last of our “so called” top players want out! I say give him 5 years cos that how long its going to take. Get me a bit of rope now!

  • JIM says:

trouble is harry, is that i have NEVER expected a top 4 finish and have always said that based on club resources that we should never be top 4.

However we were a laughing stock when we hired this clown and we still are. It was all so foreseeable that this maddness would fail yet still you lot put your heads in the sand like some religious fanatic, “it will all come good in the end, if i just keep believing”.
What an opportunity we had as a club and we blew it big time.
Our season is a mess anyway, so no harm in giving AVB the season now. Then we can judge him. Saying he will be here for two years is foolish. Nobody knows what next week will bring let alone next year.

      That’s very kind of you.

What an opportunity we had as a club and we blew it big time.

Which opportunity? Not the 13 pointer wasted by the previous incumbant that the author of the blog alludes to is it? Unfortunately I heard Blue Racist supporter who was happy that they were beaten at the weekend, ‘Brings us back daan to urth mate, yea its tuff dis league’ The gulf in class and history is obvious. AVB is managing the best he can with the best he has.

Nobody knows what next week will bring let alone next year. Exactly.

      • stantheman says:

levy helped harry blow that 13 point lead,by not investing in january .time you harry haters woke up and realised it doesnt matter who manages us until we stop pissing around in the transfer market we will not compete with the top clubs in the epl.i say harry hotspur is adrian durram in disguise.(he wished).

        • Bobbles says:

Buried in here is the path to enlightenment.

The truth is that it doesn’t matter who the manager is, until we can (and do) spunk £20m+ on a single player twice a year we can never mount a sustained challenge for glory.

Man City had nearly £200m of striking talent in their squad against us the other week – in the long run that buys the 3 points more often than it doesn’t.

    • Bobbles says:

JIM, I suggest you go put your head in the nearest oven asap. Life sounds like hard work for you.
