Bobbles,paying out huge sums on players is by no means a guarantee of instant success if you really think about it-ask Liverpool,or perhaps think in terms of Robinho, Shevckenko, Veron,Torres, Berbatov and Keane for that matter-It’s about 11 v 11 and it’s possible under good management to secure good players for reasonable money if you know the world-wide game. Our problem isn’t getting players-it’s more a case of retaining them-as our recent history had proved.

But we are not the same team are we!!?? We have taken Modric and Vdv out of our team! Last year we had 3 genuinely world class players in the side…now we have 1 definite. I very much doubt that AVB was behind those departures…player power rules nowadays. But if you took Rooney and Vidic out of Utd…would they do as well? I seriously doubt it!
AVB does need time to get the squad together…add to the above losses, that of Kaboul and Parker and Dembele being out for ages, forcing him to play Gallas and Hudds who are blatantly shite slow…and just the sort of player AVB does not want!
Give the guy a break! He is trying to make the best of a bad situation at the moment, when players come back from injury and he can add in January, we will come good…at least he does not sound like a drunk 2 year old every time i see him do a press conference, and i also doubt he is weaselling around behind the clubs back, trying to get a job with the national team…

You may say I’m deluded but I honestly think we have not been playing too badly despite some poor results. In the context of new manager, system, no modric, vdv, we have been pretty decent. A shame Sigs and Demps have been failures thus far otherwise who knows. We really bossed the game until ade’s sending off so we have been a bit down on our luck too. I can see us going undefeated into january with Dembele coming back. Defoe and Ade together is a must. Upwards and onwards COYS!!
