Good morning.

Ten games in and the mood in the camp is best described an eclectic mix. Players on Twitter have been abused before they’ve even finished playing games and fans attending home games are reportedly setting up their own union SAS (Supporters Against Support).

This group, spearheaded by 3 fat blokes in the Coach & Horses public house who describe their association as, ‘Somewhere staunch fans can inflict their contempt for all they hold sacred about Spurs without being interrupted. Divorced and separated welcome.’

Ringleader Teddy Wind told me, ‘We’ve had enough mate. Levy’s only it for the money he sold Modric and bought himself an aeroplane I bet you didn’t know that? And don’t even get me started on that ginger ponce. Taking off that Defoe was a liberty. No wonder we’re squaring up to a relegation scrap. We predicted the dark days of Santini were coming back and this is straw that broke the thing.’

For more details on joining the SAS.

    So far so … dunno.
Initially had great expectations of a change of direction and attitude but injuries have prevented us from seeing what AVB is capable of producing.
I’m still hopeful but am gathering splinters between my cheeks.
Biggest fear is that the anti AVB brigade are becoming more vocal and his demise may be a self fulfilling prophecy. Need a couple of big performances (and results) especially against our noiseless neighbours. If some sections of the crowd don’t don’t stop their negativity we could be faced with the unthinkable prospect of being out noised at WHL!!
We need to keep in touch with the pack and improve our squad in January cos it ain’t good enough at the mo.

Except there is no chance at all of Levy dropping his man any time soon. I reckon even a finish of 6th-10th and he’d still get another year at least.

All the booing in the world isn’t going to convince him, so everyone might as well not bother!

      Please.

FIRST? (i dont give a shit)

      #awkward.

Definitely need to look at the bigger picture. 2 points above Arsenal and only missing out on CL on goal difference, all after a summer where we made a net profit on transfer? And at a time when we have arguably our key defender, best left back and two (possibly 3 now) of our best midfielders out, and our best striker isn’t fully fit?

We’ll come good. In AVB we trust.

These factors seem to be absent from the minds of the apocalyptic sect. You would have to be pretty ignorant to believe that AVB is at fault for the injuries that we have sustained thus far. I think tied for 4th this far in the season with all the injuries we have sustained is quite commendable actually. Yes, we lost to Wigan, but it’s not like we have had the best track record against them since we shat out 9 goals. Let’s face it, AVB has put us in a quality position so far considering the circumstances, and we still have yet to replace rat-face with the creative midfielder that we definitely need.
AND if that doesn’t seem like a logical argument, let’s compare ourselves to our supposedly rivals that are, according to gimped-leg Eduardo, is a “bigger” club. They spend 40 million+ on 2 strikers and an outstanding midfielder. Besides that, they have recently retained the services of Wilshere, and it’s not like they just brought in a new manager either. We spend around 55 million on players in EVERY position (not to mention an excellent midfielder who is currently injured and a world-class goalkeeper who has yet to take the #1 spot). And who is higher up in the table as of now? We are.
So if you want instant results from multi-million dollar purchases and a new manager every 2 years, throw on a Man City or a Chelsea shirt. We haven’t even gotten out of 2nd gear and people are calling for heads. Pathetic

Did someone say he had gone around kicking them in training?

6 points against them last year?

Utd aside, we’ve only beat teams in the bottom 4, and most of those performances have been far from convincing. We’re also out of one domestic cup and looking ropey in the Ropa.

and we still have yet to replace rat-face with the creative midfielder that we definitely need.

          100% agree with that.

Congratulations. You are another of these ‘real fans’. To throw your argument back at you, if you want several years of mediocrity and flattering to deceive and are happy watching your best players sold and replaced with shitters and ‘waiting’ patiently while your manager learns how to make basic footballing decisions then perhaps you should throw on a Villa shirt or something?

LLL, maybe AVB should be giving the players a good kick, might get more out of them! ;-)

It is true that the wins have not been convincing, but nevertheless they have earned us 3 points.

I never stated that AVB was injuring his own players, but the implication is that AVB is expected to get 1st team results without his first team. Seems like a difficult task for any manager.

In reference to your Wigan statement, look at the 2010-11 season. Only 1 point from both encounters, including a 0-0 draw.

As for selling our best players, it’s hard to hold on to people like berbatov and modric when 1: clubs are offering 30 million + and 2: the players themselves are orchestrating the moves themselves.

And as for your suggestion to “throw on a Villa shirt”, I think I just let out a dribble of vomit on my keyboard. Plus, I already have the cockerel permanently on my skin.

          You stated:
“…and ‘waiting’ patiently while <strongyour manager learns how to make basic footballing decisions…”

I’m confused, what club do you support again?

what happend to leveys 5yr plan?

  • Yidvito says:

I’m totally up for the fight with AVB at the helm. I’ll support him til it all goes tits up… and it hasn’t yet. We are where we are and I wish ‘the support’ would stop acting like they know better than AVB or Levy. They don’t and it’s counter productive.
