Write for Us

The Hotspur Way is a fast-growing news platform covering what Londoners actually talk about: London news, football and sport, and entertainment.

If you have a sharp eye for a story, you might be interested in writing an article for us.

We’re building a contributor network of writers who understand the pace of the city and the passion of its fans.

What We’re Looking For

We welcome original pitches and completed drafts in these areas:

  • London news — local issues, culture, transport, community, and events
  • Football and sport — analysis, breaking news, opinion, and features across all levels of sport
  • Entertainment — TV, film, music, celebrity, streaming, and London’s nightlife scene

Your work should be timely, accurate, engaging, and written in a clear news style.

Contributor Guidelines

Before submitting, please ensure your article meets the following standards:

  • Original, unpublished work that has not appeared anywhere else
  • Between 500 and 900 words
  • Factually accurate and properly sourced
  • Clear structure with sub-headings where appropriate
  • Written in British English
  • Neutral tone for news pieces (opinion pieces must be clearly labelled)

What We Do Not Accept

We do not accept:

  • Promotional articles or advertorials
  • Brand, product, or service solicitations
  • Content without required sources or citations

Editorial Review Process

All submissions are reviewed by our editorial team; articles may be edited for clarity, structure, and style. Submissions may be rejected at our sole discretion, and we are not obliged to provide feedback on rejected pieces.

Publication timelines vary depending on the news cycle, but you can expect to hear back from the editor within a few days of your submission.

How to Submit Your Article

Send your pitch or completed article to The Hotspur Way’s editorial team via our contact page or to [email protected].

Please include your name, a short bio, your article or pitch, and links to any previous work.
