Team Sheet Vs Real Madrid. Today.

Guten afternoon.

Interesting interview with Arry on Talksport this morning. The Bale injury appears to have been the original red herring and our supremo’s comments on Gallas make me feel there is probably as much wrong with Billy as there is with any of his limbs. I base this upon the Frenchman’s ridiculous ‘wrong shoes’ business the other week and the fact that he used to play for Le Arse and they breed it into their players to fanny about.

Here’s what I’ve been told the 11 will be. Do of course feel free to lamblast, sue and generally seek refunds via the usual channels if it turns out to be a dreadful hoax that scares you for life and generally renders your knickers un-re-twistable.

That line up is a safe bet.

The defence and strikers pick themselves, Harry already stated he would play the wingers, Luka is nailed on for CM, and Sandro and considering his last CL game he is unlikely to be dropped.

I am sure BillyG will play in place of Seb if fit though. No disrespect to Bassong but Gallas would be a massive boost if he can start.

Once thing we badly need is a hard working game from Rafa. He is the extra man in midfield and target of Pete’s knock downs so he has to be in two places at once which means grafting like a dog.

If VDV cannot manage both then he has to cover midfield as a priority or we may never get the ball. It would leave Crouch isolated of course but that is better than being overrun in the middle.

Left off something: so if Rafa is not 100% fit I think it is possible we might start without him considering the amount of work the player in that role will have to get through.

      • AS says:

So a non VDV line up might be:
        Gomes
        Charlie Daws Billy BAE
        Lennon Wilson Modric Sandro Bale
        Crouch

The wingers can stay wide and switch flanks too during the game to cut in and play very attacking supporting Crouch because the middle is solid. A solid way to start the game then Rafa can come of the bench.

  • VdV is our top goal scorer, no way ‘arry would have the marbles to drop him. Which is unfortunate in my book. I think away from home a midfield of thudd, sandro and modders with the flying wingers on either side would be a decent bet.

VdV is a fantastic player, but his flame has dwindled this season…along with our chances of qualifying for the CL again.

Saying that, with my usual blind hope I stumble on…..COYS!
