Good afternoon fight fans.

After this morning’s fiasco courtesy of The Sun’s brain surgeons PAUL JIGGINS and MARK IRWIN it must be a great idea for any Spurs fans with a spare 20 seconds or so to share their contempt with the people that employ these two plinths.

Mr Jiggins was on talkSPORT this morning talking to Chubby Cundy and Andy Goldstein. That was an aural experience. Still at home after 10am when he took the call as that is where he is to be found when he’s not and I quote….’‘Grabbing great scoops!’

Mmmn. On the strength of today Mr Jiggins, your idea of a great scoop is something still steaming, fresh from Fido’s bottom.

What sucks is not just that your information was 100% wrong but the impact was so significant that you shouldn’t be employed as a someone writing this type of stuff as you clearly have no awareness. No understanding.

Like your greasy now unemployed/about to jailed/about to jailed again colleagues at The News Of The Screws you saw sales as being far more important than the truth.

We all get it wrong. I have occasionally run a story that we are signing a player *Benzema*COUGH*Benzema*COUGH COUGH* who doesn’t sign, but unlike your Dawson tale the only casualty of a player not signing is …my own credibility.

In this instance the casualties of your tripe were Michael Dawson’s integrity and the integrity of the THFC Board. Your article today was a big claim. You cannot make big claims without truly believing that your information is golden. From the horse’s mouth.

Not it’s bottom.

In your chat with Chubby Cundy you clearly thought you were the business. “Daniel Levy could find himself in a hell of a lot of trouble.” You said.

“Reap the whirlwind, you ginger clown.” I say.

Step 1. C&P the text below:

FAO: Dominic Mohan, Editor The Sun.

Paul Jiggins is a brain dead slug, please fire him.

Yours sincerely,

      I liked this bit…

Out of respect to Harry Redknapp, Modric has still travelled to South Africa with his colleagues for the start of their pre-season tour.

Maybe, out of respect for my ex-wife, I could get her to fly me to LA or something similar? Holiday in the Maldives possibly?

Either he or the Mail have lost all sense of… err, sense.

Harry I liked the way you ended your piece by just dropping it matter of factly that said jiggens is in fact Ginger , nuff said

  • Van der faart says:

Mail and telegraph are reporting that modric has submitted a transfer request – if its true then he wouldnt he be giving up a big share of the transfer fee?

    • Astromesmo says:

For an extra 100k per week, the maths probably works in his favour still.

What’s Croatian for ‘your Dad washes Skoda’s’?

    • onedavemackay says:

      I believe you’re right.

He’s been very badly advised and I can’t help thinking that a certain 69 year old Jock is sitting in his Manchester office watching and waiting for the moment to pounce.

Then Modders will reveal that his boyhood dream was to play football by the Manchester ship canal.

      • onedavemackay says:

I’d rather he went to United.

They seem more honest crooks than the West London chancers

      • TMWNN says:

Isn’t there a red nosed ‘delegation’ tying up a deal for a certain Mr Sneijder in Milan right now?

        • Astromesmo says:

Checked with customs and yes, a man smelling of whisky with a car blanket under his arm went through earlier today.

I’d still love Levy to flog him to Maureen at Real. I would wet myself if he pulled that one off.

  • Alspur says:

I’m liking the cut of this man’s jibe… Porto’s president, Pinta da Costa:

In an interview with the Portuguese newspaper, O Jogo, he said: “In football when you talk about European giants, the measure is not Chelsea. It’s Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester United. I told him this would be [Pep] Guardiola’s last season at Barca and that would be the ideal club for him, but he was scared of the comparisons with Mourinho and left.”

    Somebody tell Modric…

    • Astromesmo says:

Any chance we could ‘twin’ the site with Pinta da Costa… He sounds like my kinda guy (Though not in that kind of way). If only we could wrestle Falcao & Hulk off him, I’d like him even more.

  • Alspur says:

Just in from the BBC: “Liverpool agree fee for Downing”

    Another lucky escape, methinks… ;)

    • onedavemackay says:

A year ago I would have agreed with you but if you could swap Pienaar for Downing ……………………

      • Astromesmo says:

Pienaar at £15m or Downing at £3m?

        • frontwheel 2 says:

Pienaar at 3 packets of hobnobs. He’ll come good
          Downing at 1/2 pack of oaties.He won’t

        • Astromesmo says:

I’m inclined to agree with your Peanut/hob-nob ratio. Downing I would only consider as a possible sub, but only if it was just those annoying strawberry wafers left in the selection box. WTF are they doing in the world of biscuits?

    • Spurfect says:

Theyre raving about their signings but look at who theyve bought.

Charlie Adam. good first season in the Prem, but shining in a promoted club, failed at Rangers. How many players have stormers of first seasons then ‘get found out’ or just fade down to their true level. Happened many a time.

Stuart Downing. Again solid Prem player but still hasnt sparkled and has had one good season at Villa, again when everything was going through him and young because of thier woefull strike force last year. £20M is ALOT for him.

Jordan Henderson. Another good young player, but still not proven or developed into this TOP player we hear all the time. Theres a long this of players who have been given a tag like him, but as we not hype doesnt make a star.

Carrol, has again not come good yet and was based on a half decent HALF season at Newcastle in the Prem with lots of hyping.

All these players could turn out to be excellent signings, but i wouldnt put my house on it. Not this season anyway. Especially when similar signings such as Jow Cole and our own Mr Keane arrived with the same acclaim and failed miserably. Im glad thier making these signings and not the really big ones. Suarez is going to be a great signing for them next season and Harry stuffed up on this one if you ask me.

Lets hope we’re kicking into gear and have a few deals on the table. We need strengthening and a much needed lift soon! Friedel and Ceballos are not cutting it for me.
