Good afternoon.

This from long time HH reader Bill and well worth publishing.

Dear Sir,

We wake the other morning to the news that for us, Tottenham Hotspur, the Premiership Title is no-longer a just a fanciful dream or the domain of those with the budget to take seriously.  This should now become our target and with increased commitment and resources winning it will soon become our main objective.

It’s difficult to judge this news, as it has been reported from half of those on the outside looking in that we are in hell at the moment.  We had the sh*t kicked out of us at the end of last season by anyone with a properly prepared team.  We lost our place in the Champions League and we finished with a squad of players who barely the resembled the same team that were put out six months earlier.

There is no momentum to ride off from the tail end of the campaign.  So if you are going to lead us back into the light, then you need to do so from a standing start. This has got to happen on the training field, in the dressing room and in the minds of the players.

I believe that it can be done and from what I have seen and heard so far I believe that you can do it.  But now you have to convince the players.

Train them or trade them.  Now is the time.  Do not flinch from doing what it takes.

Unlike the other lot; we want you to weed out the individual who puts their own ambition above that of the club.  We encourage you change the mind set. We understand the merits of a new approach.  And we are prepared to see this thing through.

AVB this is our club.  We give it you in good faith – return it to us as Champions.

Good luck, you’ll need it.

Kind Regards,

Bill Shears

Seriously, not this sh*t again. I thought we had managed to dispense of the ‘First’ brigade, only to see it return with a vengence over the last couple of posts. Yes, it’s midly amusing when in haste a ‘Jonny 1 Post’ ends up typing FIST instead of FIRST but other than that, it’s a waste of a time and only serves to increase the amount of scrolling readers must endure.

I know I am not alone here … I’m watching you, next time it’s both barrels :ninja:

Apologies I realise that scrolling that amount must be such a pain in the arse for someone so busy

Point taken though, I won’t do it again and consider myself well and truly told!! :finn:

A good sentiment but whilst the heart is there the head says we are at the start of something big, the title should be our aim and there is no reason why we can’t but it is getting going from a standing start and i’d be happy with top four and a cup, re motivating players that lost form and weeding out those who don’t want to play or who aren’t good enough and replacing them with quality additions and instilling the winning mentality needs to be first, amongst all the hoo hah and exitement its one step at a time, but starting the first step brightly

I’m never gunna get fisted, which probaby has only ever been a horrific pipe dream, 3rd which incedently I wouldn’t be unhappy with it would show progression

    • Ric says:

i’m sure you dont want to be fisted unless you are a relation of Sol Campbell

      • Vexed says:

What the fuck does that mean you unfunny muppet?

        • Razspur says:

I really don’t think we should be calling each other names, can we not just be a little more agreeable.

        • Vexed says:

You are right but I was getting off a bus and had no time to type anything more eloquent. However, casual homophobia is as bad as casual racism. Have a go at Campbell’s integrity and the fact he wore an arsenal shirt, but draw a line there. We’re not Chelsea fans FFS.

Unless of course Ric typed that in a sarcastic manner, in which case it’s fine according to John Terry’s defence.

      • Alspur says:

        Ric – interesting post.

Are you suggesting that all gay people’s relatives gay?

If so, how did they procreate? Is this a new branch of science that I’m not aware of?

        Just askin’, like… ;)

        • MysteriousStranger says:

Are you suggesting Sol Campbell is gay Alspur? I’m sure I’ve seen him with an older woman, entirely plausible he just likes older women  :ninja:

        • MysteriousStranger says:

And are you also suggesting fisting is exclusively for man on man behaviour, Alspur? 8O

        • Alspur says:

          I must apologise – I was being overly presumptious… but, at least I wasn’t being a stupid, homophobic, c……

          ;)
