Guten tag and how’ya.
‘Andre Villas-Boas will fight Italian giants Inter Milan for the signature of Patrick Herrmann, the £7.5million-rated Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder’ cries the Daily Mail. Could it be true?
Well, he’s been dubbed as the new Marco Reus. This is due to both his talent as a creative and the fact that when Reus moved to from Borussia Mönchengladbach to Borussia Dortmund Herrmann stepped in to his place.
What’s he like? Well here’s a video. Be warned, it’s a mixed bag and if you don’t like your ’80’s pop bathed in a Robert Smith impression this may be one for you to mute.
I’ve fond memories of going to watch Mönchengladbach reserves playing on Sunday mornings in the early 80’s. I watched the first half sat on my bike through a chain fence. Two alte geezers minded the entrance. They sat in deckchairs and on funny little wooden table they had a old metal biscuit tin that held the gate money. At half time they would wave me in to watch the second half for free.
At £7.5M I think I’d need to see a little more.
Who is Marco Reus?
Didn’t he win the Tour de France in 73 on a Raleigh Grifter?
Oh yes
or the old one?
Its October
looks fast and tracks back with a killer slide tackle.
But that clip isn’t much to go on. I’m like you, I need a bit more evidence before I start getting excited.
I watched the first half sat on my bike threw a chain fence. Sounds painful….
More midfielders?
I hope we don’t sign him. I can’t face those constant “Herrmann the German” headlines.
