The Halloween Chalkboard For Norwich

Wotcha.

Something’s gotta give. Three games in 7 days and an physio room with standing room only this is no time to be sending out a full strength side. What I would like is a the following with a few gems on the bench if we look like we’re making a meal of it.

Clipboard Chris will himself be making a few changes: “There will be changes – how many I don’t know yet,” he said. “I have to say that where I am fortunate is that I’ve got good options and we are not the type of squad that has got a best 11 that’s far better than those outside it .”

What I find infuriating is this from the Independent: “Striker Emmanuel Adebayor is a doubt for Tottenham’s Capital One Cup game at Norwich after he missed training yesterday with a stomach bug.” Is the guy dragging his feet or is he simply unlucky? If he cannot play  -which I would like in order to get him some game time prior the Wigan game – then we should run with Dempsey.

The back four needs Jan, Billy Walker all to put their feet up. So an opportunity to ship in Naughton, Smith and Dawson. The midfield is a grim business, I’m struggling to see beyond Thudd, Jake and some rosary beads.

The Adebayor thing is now officially an issue. Despite the boss’ faith in Defoe he’s such a one dimensional option I can’t help but think that right now, ‘we’re merely getting away with it.’ Teams need some luck, for sure. But I fear we frittered a fair whack of ours in Southampton.

Provisional squad: Friedel, Lloris, Cudicini, Naughton, Walker, Caulker, Gallas, Dawson, Vertonghen, Smith, Livermore, Parrett, Dembele, Huddlestone, Dembele, Mason, Sandro, Sigurdsson, Lennon, Townsend, Bale, Falque, Dempsey, Defoe, Adebayor.

We are so light in midfield and at centre forward it is ridiculous.
After this and the Wigan game we have a run of tough games and could really do with some reinforcements.

I fear there is something rotten in football, the kind of freak events we have witnessed so much more frequently than we ever have before raise questions. When refs make the kind of unbelievable calls we have been witnessing, when “mystery time” gets added at the end of the games and games play until the right team wins you don’t have to be cynic to ask the question. If the whole US Postal Cycling team can be in on a doping program, whole cricket teams colluding with spot betting its no great leap to suspect 4 officials on relatively low wages and with short and insecure careers of having been tempted to line their pocket while they can. Having been a match “reporter” for a far east spot betting operation keying in every free kick and throw in, red and yellow cards etc..I realise how much money can be made by manipulating tiny aspects of a game, and once that cancer sets in it’s not long before the ref in the big game is “told” the result. I notice a lot of teams are sponsored by betting companies by the way…….

wow, that was off topic, I think ade is sulking doesn’t like being the mid-week striker so he’s calling in sick. He could still surprise us though

At last some fans are waking up to what i have found out five seasons ago. Just watch Arsenals 7.5 second half fight back and you will see wide eyed footballers chasing the ball like mad dogs and Smooth Bum and Kochenley are the worse. This is why we cant get two half’s the same they are swallowing extra energy we either join in or suffer. Dr Wenger the penguin has bean at it for years and Doctor Ferguson

I don’t understand AVB’s stance with Hugo. Surely there is a better chance to enhance confidence when you have your regular CB’s (or first team!) playing in front of you, not a ‘makeshift’ back four on a potentially dodgy cup night…?

At least we might keep a bit of possession from the back in this game!

I just don’t get it??!! :hae:

its simple for me. the media frenzy and the comments by french professionals because he didnt come straight in and play despite not training with us in the first game haas put an immense spotlight on thee whole affair in which avb is being judged as a manager also. This has made lloris shit his pants and avb play safe.

what everyone needs to realise is that brad doesnt make many mistakes because he takes no risks – sometimes at the expense of conceding. Watching lloris come and claim corners is like a breath of fresh air.

      coys and coygfg

That bits simple for everyone (why it at least initially happened). Now thats totally irrelvant, now its just a case of sheer stupidity. Must have missed the inetrview where Lloris shit himslef. For goodness sake the guy is the French No.1 !!!

Also this everyone accepts this? As for Lloris claim corners, yes its like a breath of fresh air, so why don’t we play him? Maybe he can pass it to a Spurs players as well. You see the pattern thats forming (?) A better keeper (?) Silly manager (!)
