Tottenham is set to play the MLS all-star team in the annual Major League All-Star Game on July 29th at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Colorado.

The annual All-Star game has hosted many other prominent European teams in the past few years. The likes of Manchester United, Everton FC, Chelsea FC, AS Roma, and, most recently, FC Bayern have all travelled to the United States to take on the MLS all-star squad.

For one Spur player, it will be a return home. Spurs right back DeAndre Yedlin will be making his return to the States for the first time in a Tottenham outfit.

The United States international will be returning to the States after being transferred to Tottenham from Seattle after an impressive World Cup last summer.

Spurs also have another note-worthy connection with the MLS. U.S. star forward, Clint Dempsey, lined up in a Spurs kit for almost a year before being transferred to Seattle in August 2013.

The All-Star match should serve as a viable test for Tottenham. The MLS All-Star team is 7-3-1 in the forementioned annual match.
