Jurgen Klopp is expected to continue working within the Red Bull football group despite speculation suggesting he could soon depart the organization and return to full-time managerial duties.
The former Liverpool manager stepped away from coaching in 2024 after a highly successful period at Anfield, choosing instead to transition into a broader strategic role within Red Bull’s football network.
Although several major European clubs have been linked with potential moves for the German tactician, sources indicate he is currently content with his position away from the day-to-day pressures of management.
Reports had previously suggested that Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner might replace Klopp within the Red Bull structure, fueling rumors of an imminent reshuffle.
However, insiders believe such speculation has little substance and that Klopp remains firmly committed to his current responsibilities within the organization.
Persistent Interest From Europe’s Elite Clubs
Despite stepping away from the touchline, Klopp’s reputation as one of modern football’s most influential managers continues to generate significant interest across Europe’s top clubs.
Teams including Real Madrid and Manchester United have frequently been linked with possible approaches as they consider long-term managerial options.
Atletico Madrid has also been mentioned among potential admirers, highlighting the enduring demand for Klopp’s leadership following his achievements in Germany and England.
Nevertheless, the 58-year-old appears to be enjoying the opportunity to contribute to football development projects rather than managing weekly fixtures and media responsibilities.
Red Bull And Klopp Both Deny Exit Reports
Recent claims suggesting that Klopp could soon depart the Red Bull organization have been publicly downplayed by figures close to the situation.
Journalist Pete O’Rourke addressed the speculation by emphasizing that neither Klopp nor Red Bull officials are considering a separation in the foreseeable future.
“Yeah, I would say it’s very unlikely that something like that would happen.”
“Obviously, Red Bull officials did come out and deny those suggestions at Jurgen Klopp could leave his role there and potentially return to management.
“Look, there’ll always be interest in Jurgen Klopp as a manager because of what he’s done throughout his career, but it seems he’s happy in his current role at Red Bull.
“So I don’t think there’s any chance that the Red Bull will be pushing him out the door or anything like that.
“Again, Glasner, as you said, has links to the Red Bull operation but I don’t see him rushing to leave the managerial dugout anytime soon.
“So I don’t think there’s any indication that Glasner’s ready to give up his coaching career just yet.
“As I said Jürgen Klopp seems happy at Red Bull and what he’s doing and Red Bull are happy with him so looks like a bit of a non-starter that report to me.”
A Different Chapter In Klopp’s Football Career
For Klopp, the move into an executive-style role represents a significant shift after decades spent directing teams from the technical area during intense domestic and European competitions.
The new position allows him to influence football operations across multiple clubs while maintaining distance from the relentless schedule and pressures associated with elite managerial work.
Given his continued satisfaction within the role and Red Bull’s support for his involvement, the prospect of an immediate return to coaching currently appears increasingly unlikely.
